OK

My stepfather, who has been watching the war coverage extensively (my stepbrother is fighting over there) told me today this curious bit of information. Does anyone know any more details?!

1.) An original picture described as being by a Dungeons and Dragons artist was found in Uday's palace (his famous "den of inquity")

2.) The picture was of a sexual nature.

3.) The artist is female and wants the picture back.

That's all I know. Does anyone have any further details on this? He did not remember which news channel he saw it on and I've checked them all, they all run the same AP story which does NOT mention the picture in question.

My curiousity is killing me.

Is Dorian Cleavanger a woman? That would certainly fit the bill of a sexually oriented "DnD" picture.

One of the palaces had a large number of (apparently original) paintings by fantasy artist Rowena Morrill. One of them was the 6th one down on this page, which she said was originally sold to a Japanese collector.

Hmmm...

I wonder, was she (rowena, the artist) more attached to her beloved paintings or the 20 grand she got for them?

This chick is out of her mind. Some Japanese art investor buys them, sells them to Uday or Saddam, now she wants them back?

That's not how the art market works my dear. Jerks might buy your paintings, if they really mean that much, don't sell them.

Hm. No posts in EN World about the war and/or Saddam or any of his ilk, please.
Sorry.

If you want to continue this debate, you could go to Nutkinland and start a thread like this one. :)
