To be honest, this is the most exciting thing about these new core books, for me.
Unfortunately, I think that was a forgone conclusion. I think people just took the shift from player access to the MM to a PHB based bestiary as a small victory.Dang the Wildshape revision passed.
RIP templates you were too good for the world.
Confirmed: the book is jam-packed with gorgeous me!User name checks out.
Sounds like we will see a preview or playtest of this later this year, before the release of the DMGThey are iterating on a much more streamlined encounter building system internally.
That they've improved both the ranger and the monk (and with such high approval ratings) is music to my ears. Those are the two 2014 classes I regularly want to play but don't, due to their underwhelmingness. The two big points for me are that Crawford firmly disavowed the May release date, and that the UA8 Monk scored so well. He took time to say how hard it is to get over 90% scores with the size and diversity of the playerbase, and that Monk has stolen the "Most Improved" trophy from Ranger just before the finish line. Which is all great news to me, I'm really looking forward to playing a UA8 Monk.
That and the limited number of forms means that there is no excuse at all for stopping things in play to look up forms.Unfortunately, I think that was a forgone conclusion. I think people just took the shift from player access to the MM to a PHB based bestiary as a small victory.
