Yeah, it looks like it has dipped quite a bit, they don't seem to have much of a Christmas season push really, compared to other "gift-able" items.

In Canada, Volo's is at #238 in all books, PHB is at #44 in all books.

Volvo's guide is #1...for fantasy gaming. 54 overall. Amazing numbers, especially given how skeptical I have been about it. :p

Quick update.

After a good run, Volo's is down to#5 in gaming and #773 overall.

PHB is back to number #1 for gaming, and #166 overall. Still respectable.

Interestingly, the MM is #3 in gaming, and #338 overall.

There is a seasonal factor here: things that are being bought as gifts will jump up the rankings. I guess not many DMs are getting Volos this Xmass.

Volvos is #4 in gaming and #601 overall. So still pretty good.

The current AP on the other hand is sitting all the way down at #15 in gaming, and I have noticed that it frequently trades places with CoS, which I think had more legs and a higher peak in terms of sales (#1 in gaming) when it came out.

Gaming books tend to be good purchases with "Christmas Cash". Less something under the tree and more people buy for themselves with gift cards and Grandma bucks. So it makes sense there'd be a dip (as people put off the purchases) and then a bump.

The "Teens" category is quite misleading as (I've mentioned before) it doesn't mean the teens are necessarily buying it. Just the WotC put it in the teens category.

It would be quite handy to see the 5e D&D books ranked (WotC and 3rd party). That would be an interesting monthly chart.

Almost forgot about this thread, just noticed the PHB was sitting at;

#6 in ALL books in Canada!?!

#66 in all books at the .com is also crazy.

Volo's #51 in .ca, #328 .com
SKT #297 in .ca, #5600 .com?

Tales from the Yawning Portal (not released yet) is at #83 in .ca, #863 .com

I think so. It is really strange. Just when I think the momentum is done or beginning to slow down I run into a whole new group of lapsed or brand new players chomping at the bit.

Still lots of room for growth: man, if they pull off a moderately successful movie, this thing might explode like never before....

In contrast, at this point in the 3E life cycle they were just about to release 3.5, and 4E was over.
