D&D Wargaming *ARMIES OF EVIL*

The mirror of mental prowess. Will someone Please buy this. It's expensive but it allows you to scry at will, read thoughts at will, and open a 24 hour gate anywhere at will. I would buy it but the cost means my dragon would be almost completely undefended.

That sounds fun. I had envisioned my all cavalry army doing lightning fast raids and flanking maneuvers. I have not given much thought to what else I should buy with my horde. Can I buy Boots of Striding and Springing for my Dire Wolves?

A couple of new questions.
Is there a market for magic items, or do I have to 'go west' to buy them as well (Those diplomacy ranks are going to be invaluable, I can tell)
How far west is west, will I have to fly for four days to get there as well.
There is a market for magical items, scrolls and things. In the evil kingdom, these things are made elsewhere and brought in by enterprising merchants. Prices standard so I don't hit myself with MORE bookkeeping.

I am definately getting the Dragon Book (I can never remember it's real name) as soon as I find it. Sounds like it will be good for fleshing out my character.
Draconomicon. Great book. You really should.

How do we get new units? I know the rank and file come from the villages but what if we wanted to get high powered characters and unusual monsters?
You will get extra points as your reputation increases, or for a number of other reasons. At any rate, throughout the game, you'll earn points. You spend those points in this thread here, and then in the IC thread, I will describe how you gained those units. Never fear not being able to get what you want. I may give you bonus points for roleplaying, by the way... and roleplaying where you want your new units to come from.

Also I have a pool of scrying and an insane scrying skill (thanks to a handy little magic item) so the first day I'm going to spend scrying. Just so you have plenty of time to prepare I'll list some of the things I'm magically checking out. I have similarly high spot, search and listen checks but I'll only be spending a few minutes looking at any given place, also I'll scry a point a distance away from what I'm interested unless stated otherwise. This will give me a broader view at the expense of missing a few details.
Just make sure you SAY you're doing this in the IC thread. I'll give very little IC knowledge OOC like this.

And yet another question to end things with, how is time going to pass in the game? Knowing this will be absolutely vital to all my warplans
I'm going to keep track of time VERY carefully. At the beginning, I will mark each day as it passes. It might come to pass that one side will be advancing in time faster than the other side... as such, I will have them wait for the other team to catch up. Things will be kept in careful sync.

Man I got the coolest mental image from the description of the IC post.

Hordes of unded cover the land, so many that you can't even see the ground beneath their feat. Interspersed with them are massive Balors, with huge flaming swords and wings. Overhead a dragon sweeps by with a powerful rider on his back. And above even them the sky is darkened by massive black clouds, covering the land in permanent shadow.

Very Lord of the Rings-esque

Edit:
I finally read the new version of the scrying spell. Man its been nerfed.
One thing I noticed is that it doesn't require a scrying skill.
I'm getting rid of the spotter's stone and replacing my dragons scry skill with something useful

Errr... you are aware that Clairaudience/Clairvoyance only works on locations you are already familiar with, right? Scrying enables you to find out things about things you AREN'T already familiar with, and wherever they are as well. Clairaudience/Clairvoyance requires a fixed location.

I'll allow it... but you'll need to change your IC post to reflect this... do you REALLY want Clairaudience/Clairvoyance instead of Scry?

Also I am going to (slowly) work towards becoming a Dragon Ascendent.

Could you give me more information about the class and tell me what the feats (Draconic Knowledge, Fast Healing, Improved speed) are?

My Email is Drakk_Nyte32@hotmail.com but I don't check it too often so if you email me the information please post here to let me know.

You said that cities are unable to protect themselves but earlier you said the capital city has some 6,000 ghostly gaurdians.

Is our capital city able to defend itself?
If yes, how well(what's the army point wise)
