d20 Blackmoor - Worth buying?

I don't have it. I'm looking forward to getting a copy one day but I've still yet to read Valus due to the Gen Con reviewer swag. Back to typing!

Yes, it IS worth buying, absolutely. I've read my copy cover to cover, and it is a very well done campaign setting.

How much of the book is devoted to "crunch" (feats, prestige classes, etc.)?

I'm interested in picking up the book, but I would never run a Blackmoor campaign with d20 -- it just wouldn't feel right!

It feels just fine, actually. I definitely recommend it.

Maybe it would be nice to do a Q&A with Mr. Arneson like how its been done with Gary Gygax?

I'm gonna wait till the City of the Gods supp is released and then I'll buy the lot. ;)

Your recommendation has been noted and rejected. ;)

I would consider running Blackmoor with C&C (or even RC DnD), but not d20. It just doesn't fit IMO.

*shrug* The fact of the matter is that the product is for d20, and not for anything else. It's Dungeons & Dragons, my friend - the quintessential Dungeons & Dragons, some might say. And Dungeons & Dragons is d20.

You can buy BlackMoor or not, run it d20 or not, but the fact is that the product was made for d20 (in more ways than one). I own it and have both read and played it. You've done none of the above, and until you have, maybe it's best to hold off on saying whether or not d20 "fits." Just an idea.

In any event, I wouldn't care to play BlackMoor in anything but its proper format. It would be like someone asking me to play Vampire in Hero. Just silly.
