d20 Modern Dark*Matter hardcover from WotC?!?

well, only time can tell. they have allready gone from "suggestion" to full on book with urban arcana so maybe if they see dark*matter doing it big they will expand upon star*drive to?

and if dark*matter is as good as you people claim it is, i may have to add it to my growing collection of D20 modern related material...

for some reason i find d20 modern more interesting then d&d, maybe because im a cyberpunk/scifi-fan ;)

Upon review I realize that the information I just posted was already in a post I had missed somehow. As I hate it when people repeat the same information because they failed to read the thread, I will just remove the offending material.

Err... (thinks of something to say)

Looking forward to Enochian, Heap!

* PCs start as members of "Department 7" instead of The Hoffmann Institute.

The Hoffmann Institute was included in the Menace Manual, along with a bunch of other D*M stuff. So, i don't think you need to worry there. You'll just want three books: d20M core, MM & d20 D*M.

The link's not working for me.

When does WOTC put out the fall book schedule?? I would think one of the "regular" D20 Modern people like JD Wiker or Stan! would be in on this. Maybe Amazon's wrong?

If NOT count me in! :)

I dunno. Do we need Dark Matter for d20 Modern published in order to have Star*Drive?
Do you need either published to actually run a campaign? d20 Modern has enough stats available via d20 Future, Menace Manual, etc. that it seems the only thing left to publish is the fluff. And since that's all available in the Alternity books; ??

I mean, yeah--I'll almost certainly pick up a DM or SD book either one if it gets released. But at the same time I'll be asking myself how much I really need it.

I'VE always thought it was alot of fun ... but I'm biased.
Me too. Of course, I thought it was a lot more fun until I belatedly discovered Delta Green, which I think does the same thing way better, but maybe DG is more of a cult/niche market relative to Dark Matter.

Yea. I mean, I like DG and all, but its dealing specifically with Lovecraftian subject matter. It does a good job of weaving the mythos into new shapes, but I've found there's alot more -I- can do, at least, with D*M, funwise.

I wouldn't trust the D20 Future stats. For that matter, a lot of the classable monsters bear little resemblance to the Dark Matter equivalent - the kinori bears no resemblance other than being a lizard.

Both Baur and Cook said they aren't in on it. Amazon jumped the gun, and has decidedly incomplete information. I'm sure they have the date wrong, too.
