It's made me less excited for CR, personally. One thing I noticed with the AoU game, my attention wasn't completely lost during combat, unlike the d&d APs. Ah well, at least they are continuing AoU.
I can't stay awake for anyone's actual play of D&D or Pathfinder. I've literally fallen asleep in the middle of my most wakeful times of the day trying to watch those. Despite having been a Pathfinder GM up until Daggerheart came out - the game is just boring to watch. As is D&D. It gets too bogged down in gamism and the time between narrative or roleplay moments gets too far apart.

Watching the CR cast, the same cast that would put me to sleep, play DH during their playtest games was some of the first actual play content I've been able to sit through. I've gone to enjoy podcasts from Dodoborne, Naturolls, Role of the Dice, and True Strike. So far I've only found one DH podcast that I couldn't stay awake for (and starting to nod off on the freeway is unwise, so those folks got removed from my podcast list as they just talk too slowly).

But if CR is doing D&D, even if tried to watch it, I would be watching it, I'd just be adding nap time to my day.

What I don't get is why Apply Podcast wouldn't show me all of those guys when I searched on 'daggerheart'. I found Naturolls by accident elsewhere. :)

There is a bsky thread.
Ah, helpful to say something like “interesting thread!” when you post a fairly contextless excerpt, lol.

Edit: I’m not sure I quite understand the point here. Is it just that “in this 2d12 system, the small bonuses have a larger than “expected” outcome Va the target numbers?” This is the sort of thing anybody coming from a 2d6 PBTA kinda expects, so I guess his point is wrt d20s.

I ran the numbers on the difficulties vs basic modifiers to get a good feel for the outcomes, and it was kinda interesting to see that the Environments are set lower then the actual non-minion average for Adversaries. For the latter, you’re likely to always be using your highest value with your attacks while there’s a chance you’re using a neutral to minor bonus for exploration type things.
