Daggerheart General Thread [+]

It will take a lot of the steam out of DH's momentum to see that it's own publisher mainly focuses elsewhere, even as they've not abandoned it.
Anyone who abandons the promise of DH because of the realities of the financials doesn't really want that reality to change, IMO.

And they've said that they will have DH content. Just that the season will advertise be using D&D.

I get that it is a useful thing to do for them to show how to convert from 5E to DH, but it is the absolute last thing I care about.
Me too. But it is true that a LOT of DH players and GMs are coming from D&D and their idea of fantasy is whatever is in a WotC book, rather than literary or mythology based.

So while that's the last thing I want, everyone else at many tables wants it first.

Not sure if this was posted, I couldnt find it, or if anyone has issues with it but some math.

Cool. Thank you. Stuff like this is extra helpful for ruling on the fly. If you have a good grasp of the probabilities, it makes settings DCs (and expectations) a lot easier.

Great video, but I kept cracking up whenever they skipped ahead to her final choices. I love Ashley, but you know this whole thing must have taken a couple hours.
I'm not so sure. Ashley is also a "what would be most fun" kind of person so remaking the character would be vibe-based. I think Laura and Liam would have more issues with picking appropriate abilities and finding what maps to their character best when there's no 1-to-1 choices.
