Prepping to play in store this coming weekend, it's striking how few interesting d12s there are out there, separate from their full polyhedral set. Black Oak Workshop, for instance, has zero of them.

Doing the best imitation of myself
I was talking with one of my friends that I ran the Quickstart adventure for at Gamehole Con and one of the surprising things they told me they liked was the foldable terrain and minis. The quickstart has some trees, rocks, and a wagon you are traveling in, in addition to all of the monsters and characters. That was interesting and something that surprised me. My arts and crafts skills are low, so it wasn't the best setup, but they liked it. It was an addition to the adventure that I wasn't sure why it was there, but now I know.
