Daggerheart Releases Another Round of Playtesting, Including Two New Classes

The Witch and Assassin are both available for playtest.

A ton of new playtest content was just released for Daggerheart, including two brand new classes and a host of new ancestries and communities. The Void was just updated today with new content, including a brand new Witch class and a new Assassin class. The Witch class comes with a Hex feature and the ability to commune with spirits. The Assassin has the potential of ambushing targets when the Assassin moves into melee range of a target, which deals additional D6s worth of damage based on what tier the assassin is.

Also added to the playtest material are a number of new ancestries - the earthkin, tidekin, emberkin, skykin, a celestial-derived Aetheris ancestry, and gnomes. Six new communities were also added - duneborne, freeborne (a community that was liberated from tyrannical rule), frostborne, hearthborne (coming from a small village or countryside), reborne (coming from a community that they no longer remember), and warborne.

The Warlock and Brawler were also updated with new revisions.

The thing about publishing pacing is that it does not have to match your purchasing pacing. You can buy, or not, at whatever pace makes you happy.
Not entirely true... once OOP, some things become essentially unobtanium. Some even get taken completely off DTRPG... (EG: MWP's Cortex Classic and Cortex Plus games, several years of BX/BECMI/Cyclo+BBB+Wrath being off the service)... There's a minis wargame that's RPG adjacent; the dead tree I've got is the only copy I've ever seen... even the pirates haven't gotten it. Flashpoint! I keep hoping the publisher will put it up on DTRPG/WGV.

Well, there's already errata. Mainly spelling and such, but expecting a book to be completely error-free is a big ask.

Errata PDF: https://www.daggerheart.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Daggerheart-Errata-5-20-2025.pdf
I expect errata, over spelling etc. I gather they were making adjustments to two classes in the core book. Not unusual, but annoying if you already bought it. My main questions are how long until the next printing of the core book (and will it have the errata in it) and how soon until their next book (and how frequent are these going to be).

The classes they are making adjustments to were also "unearthed arcana" equivalents.

Just to clarify this Unearthed Arcana is the Wizards of the Coast public playtest area. The two classes being adjusted are not in the core rulebook and are a being adjusted as a response to playtesting to be ready for a future book.

The actual errata amounts to a single side and includes tweaking the credits, and is mostly tyops with a couple of clarifications.

The classes they’re revising are NOT in the core book. The revision is just the second round of playtesting for those classes.

All 4 classes currently being tested on Void are new.

Ok, that is true I guess, but I am not sure how it is relevant to the concern that Daggerheart will put out more material that one would personally prefer.

I just bought Wheel of Time from Noble Knight Games for $85 dollars. It came down from 105. I'm shocked because that is made out of pure unobtainium. I traded all my Pathfinder games, Witcher RPG, and Fantasy Flight Star Wars games to get old Planescape things like Bloodwar which is made of high grade unobtanium.
