Though now I'm wondering if perhaps sometimes I'm not specifically using the word painting... hmm. I must test more, when I get this painterly thing I really like it.

I had a lot of anime-looking results for her for some reason, until I added the word "gritty". (I'm not sure how that translates, to "not Anime" but... AI.

Even if you are specific in your style prompt, sometimes it will get ignored. DALL-E’s just special like that.

"Digital painting" is a pretty wide brush (lol, I'm sleep.deprived). But seriously, if you specify period or style of painting and material, you can get quite narrow results. Like "Pre-raphaelite oil painting made using acryon canvas and printed on a hardcover book found on a coffee table"
