D&D General DALL·E 3 does amazing D&D art

ChatGTP is the same almost. It's programming has become silly restrictive. You can't do pictures depicting even fake people in a photo realistic quality without complaining that it might make a resemblance to someone real. As you were saying, some outfits on female pictures it won't do because it would be suggestive. A friend wanted a picture of her character, a Victorian housemaid, for a short CoC game, and it would not do so because that style of dress would violate the terms and conditions. She didn't want anything of an "adult" theme but it refused to do it because of the outfit choice.

That's because the big IP corporations are on the cusp of turning Open AI into a money piñata.

The restrictions have become a little crazy. I asked DALLE4 for pictures of a tank which it easily did then, because I wanted it for a transformers RPG, I asked for it to also do the robot standing behind the tank, with elements of the tank in its form and it came back as restricted content. Did the same with a car instead of a tank and got the same result.

Displacer Beast fooling an Adventurer

Generated on CharGen: The Fantasy AI Image Generator & Session Summary Tool.

Description:
A lithe, pantherlike predator with midnight fur that shimmers into false shadows; six long, jointed tentacles sprout from its shoulders, each tipped with suction pads. Its eyes glow brass, maw lined with needle teeth, and its footsteps seem to slip a heartbeat to one side.

Looks like this is where it's headed...
... proprietary IP image generation as a value added part of streaming platforms.
I think it's positive that they want to promote user-generated content. The worst scenario is if they just replace human artists with AI while still serving fans the same static content at the same price as before.

Anyway, that displacer beast looks cool! It's not perfect, the "tentacles" are extra tails rather than extending from the shoulder, but it's impressive how the beasts, the illusion and the shadow on the wall all more or less match up! The AI got the six legs on the beach right too.

Shambling Mound Ambush

A towering shambling mound of sodden moss, vines, and rotted bark, stitched with brambles and fungus. Glowing amber sap drips from gaping orifices where roots twist into jagged teeth. Bulbous earth-clods form shifting limbs, exhaling spores that slick its path with cold, wet rot attacking an unsuspecting Lizardfolk gathering blueberries.

TBH, replacing human artists with images is what I'd do as a company. They just need to handle well the social acceptance, so they might be better off starting by making AI generated cartoons, and progressively turn the image quality closer to real image, then go for a real image feel. So they won't say they replaced actors in a film, they created a ultrarealistic life-like cartoon.

I was surprised by how cool it looked.

I asked Grok (X-twitter) to create a D&D group inspired in a Spanish cartoon from 70s "la Panda" by Robert Segura. It offfered me to create an image of the group and I have got this:

Johnny the Cunning (Arcane Trickster Human):
The brains of the group, skinny and lanky just like in the comic. He uses his intelligence to disarm traps, steal treasure, and cast Sleight of Hand for cool illusions. Background: A low-class con man who convinced the gang to join the adventure.
Typical phrase: "I've got it! Mus, you distract the dragon with your 'strength'..."
Role: Explores, negotiates, and saves the day with tricks.

Mus the Braggart (Battle Master Half-Orc Warrior):
Busty, arrogant, and with a Mini in his pocket (a magical pony as his "car"). From a noble orc family with gold mines. He provokes enemies with Maneuver Attack and boasts about his Savage Attack. He always tries to flirt with Piluca and fails miserably. Phrase: "Leave me alone, commoners! My bloodline is unbeatable... ay!"
Role: Frontline tank, but dies from overconfidence.

Piluca the Beautiful (Wood Elf, Glamorous Bard):
Radiant and flirtatious, with Charm Persona to charm guards or monsters. She plays the lute for group buffs and Star Mantle, which makes her shine like a goddess. She's concerned about her post-battle hairstyle.
Quote: "Guys, look how beautiful I look summoning fairies!"
Role: Diplomacy, minor healing, and lethal distractions.

Margaret-Dolly the Learned (Rock Gnome, Divination Mage):
Half-British (pompous gnome accent: "By Jove!"), with glasses and floating books. A portent for forcing dice rolls and predicting disasters (like Anton's famine). She knows elven myths and criticizes Mus's "barbarity."
Quote: "According to the Grimoire of Thay, this is a colossal mistake..."
Role: Ranged damage, arcane utility, and "I told you so".

"Anton the Glutton (Hill Dwarf Bear-Totem Barbarian):
Pot-bellied and good-natured, rages when food runs out (gains resistances and eats Healing Potions like candy). Tank-like toughness, with extra Damage Resistance. Always carries a sack of provisions. Quote: "Shall we fight or eat? I don't care, just give me something!"
Role: Secondary tank, carrier, and "devourer of edible traps."

Polito the Jester (Hard Halfling Bard of Eloquence):
Witty redhead, unleashes Vicious Mockery that weakens enemies with laughter. Inspiration with surreal jokes (Vicious Mockery: "That goblin looks like Mus without a shower!"). Good-natured and a unifying figure for the group.
Phrase: "Hey, ogre, your mother is so ugly that not even Piluca can dazzle her!"
Role: Verbal support, demoralizes foes and relieves tension.
