Darkvision trumps Hide?

I guess this may also be Errata-d or FAQ-d, but does Darkvision trump hiding?
Someone with darkvision sees no shadows. So in my game (I DM) the half-orc spots 'automatically' any hider in shadows because there are no shadows.

Or do I rule this incorrect?

By the raw, darkvision does not trump hide, AFAIK. The Hide skill requires cover or concealment to use, but Darkvision does not negate either of those conditions.

Darkvision only trumps a successful Hide check if the Hider was using the cover of darkness.

It does when the concealment is only from the dark conditions. If there's concealment from underbrush, Darkvision doesn't trump that. If it's just low-light conditions that are granting concealment, Darkvision does.
