Dawnforge Characters

I only have one character made for my game so far, a Saltblood Rogue that is estranged from his family.

I am in the process of trying to take a few of the cool elements from Arcana Unearthed and put them in Dawnforge, as some of you already know from the other thread. I am going to ask this here as I did there because different people read different threads, but if the Mage Blade, Witch, and Runethane are put into dawnforge, what PHB spells would you give them on their own specific lists, ranging from level 0 to level 6?

Wish I could help you out Acid_crash...I'm not at all familiar with the Arcana Unearthed stuff.

I am just getting started putting together my Dawnforge campaign, which will start in late February. So far, the characters are:

An Orc Barbarian 1/Shaman 3, a member of one of the clans of orcs living in the Highlands.

A Highlander Ranger 4 who has dedicated himself to ridding the Highlands of evil, with or without the consent of local leaders.

A Tureborn Spirit Adept 4, filling the role of the "wandering monk" and providing the party with combat support that *looks cool*.

A Night Elf Sorcerer 1/Rogue 3, the kind of character the others are glad is on *their* side.

A Minotaur Disciple 4, who has chosen to follow a mysterious immortal so that he can lead his people out of the shackles of slavery under the giants.

And some sort of wizard, probably a Lowlander. I am looking at the Elements of Magic to see if it will meld easily with DF. if not, something more traditional, a "journeyman" who wishes to see the world before settling down.

The campaign will start in the Highalnds, where the party will engage in their first Legend Quest, and move out from there.

Hal,

Tiefling paladins are difficult anywhere, but especially in Dawnforge. Outcast, abandoned, mistrusted by all. It's certainly not an easy life. But hey it would be a great challenge! ;)

I agree and may tweak the idea....maybe a tiefling wizard/ranger???????
Have to look at the 2 elven races tonight went over Tiefs, humans, and halflings last night.

I have Smallville and more Firefly (drool) on my plate tonight! So I am going to have a great night (In case anyone cares my kids are at my parents tonight for a sleepover for the next 2 nights, should call in sick *cough, cough* to work ;) )

blackshirt5-I like the 'non-standardness' in your group! :) Sounds like it will be an interesting (and fun) game.

Just curious-what level are the characters starting out at?

Hope the game goes well and great fun is had by all!

All the characters are starting at 2nd level to increase their survivability.

Is there anything stopping you from making a tiefling disciple, or maybe a fighter/disciple? He sure would look like a paladin, and maybe eventually you could make him a blackguard. :)

I need to look at the book tonight, we will be a primarily good party so...I need to work that angle as well.

I think they are inherently evl so that will be part of the challenge if I do that.

As for Game Day, yes I figured we do some stuff at the store then head back to my pad and play with Dawnforge a bit, I can't wait till Saturday!

Cool...sounds like a good plan. I'm really looking forward to getting things moving with the Dawnforge campaign--I can't wait til Saturday either! :D
