Daybreak, the continuing saga of a well-written mystery

Once again, I am pleased and somewhat impressed with this show. Much of that has to do with Adam Baldwin (who plays Chad) being an awesome actor, but overall it's just got tons of cool ideas. I'm willing to ignore the odd unlikely event because of it.

Whose idea was this show? I'll want to follow their work.

Man...the end when Rita had the dot on her chest? That just floored me.

Actually, that was one of the points that was a little illogical. I mean, in that situation it's not like they could actually shoot her. I suppose it was just to show that they would eventually kill her if Taye Diggs didn't cooperate.

Still, very fun show, and I like how it plays with the concept. What all weird theories did Chad espouse?

It all went by too fast for me to latch on to anything. I'll have to re-watch it to figure them out.

I'm pretty sure that they'd have shot her. In the ensuing confusion, Hopper would have gone down too (but I get what you're saying)

Something about time being textured - sometimes it's smooth, sometimes it's rippled and sometimes it's "sticky" - implying that's the way it is for Hopper right now. Then he dropped some quantum mechanic buzzwords.

Awesome, another great episode.

I've heard the ratings are bad, and am concerned they won't finish out the storyline before canceling it.

Not surprised, considering its lead-in is that crappy Shatner game show "Show Me the Money!"

I like Shat, and I generally enjoy Boston Legal (though not quite as much as I used to), but that game show is really a piece of garbage.

This series is pleasantly surprising me. Very smartly written and the charachters are starting to get some meet on them. It's amazing how much you find out about a person in just one day.

I think the would have shot Rita and him as well. Once one person fires, a few more will fire in the confusion. Afterwards its hard to sort out who did what. I liked that scene a lot. It reall ycaptured the confusion of a hostage situtuation like that. I also like how they are not taking the viewers time for granted. In the next scene we see him going into the car the next day, skip the wake up sequence.

To paraphrase Prince Humperdinck from Princess Bride -- if that happens, I will be very put out.

= = =

Who's the crazy guy with the beard who was in jail with Hopper? (I didn't see the very first episode, so if it was explained then, I missed it.)

They're still revealing who he is and what all he knows. They, as you can tell from this episode, hinted he may be reliving the same day alongside Hopper. I'm curious if bigger events have lasting ripples in this though. Battle seemed to accept things in the last episode and seems to be making that same decision over and over now on her own. We have yet to really see this decision repeated, but they hinted this at the end of last week's ep. I'm wondering how this will bear out. He has the smart answer though for people who think he should do it the "Groundhog Day" way. What if it doesn't repeat finally and he takes em for granted.................
