DDM 2.0 stat cards are up!

Has anyone figured out why attacks against a Defense are sometimes listed as "vs Ref" and sometimes listed "vs DEF(Ref)"? Look at the Large fire elemental as an example

Most likely a formatting error. Should be vs. DEF or Vs. Def (X). Just like 'sonic' damage was renamed to thunder, but the Angel of Vengence's Word of Truth states sonic damage.

What do the colored lines on the left mean? Different cards have different patterns there. I'm not a DDM player, so I don't know if this is anything new or not.

Those are factions, exclusive to DDM. In DDM 1, there was Lawful Good, CG, LE, CE. In DDM 2, there is Underdark, Wild, Borderlands and Civilisation. However, in DDM 2 if you have a Good creature in your warband you can't have Evil creatures, and vice versa. In a way, then, there are 12 factions - Good U, W, B, C, Evil U, W, B, C, and Neutral U, W, B, C.

Hey look! The Feral Troll heals 20 hp immediately whenever it takes damage. I guess it is a bad idea to attack a troll with characters that do less than 20 hp damage, don't you think? Interesting mechanic - calls for special tactics.

Except that it's a one shot power. 1 burst of regeneration then you can hit it with whatever you like.

I'm liking these stat cards a lot. Particularly interested in the Dwarf Brawler. Does this mean 4e has support for a fistfighter without being a monk? I hope so.

An aside, does anyone know what the difference is between (sword in a circle) and (sword)? Is the one with the circle an attack that can be used with a move action and the other a full-round action?

EDIT: Oh, also, none of the Drow have the 'Evil' descriptor. Curious...

I think (sword) is the default attack, while sword are other optional attacks.

the sword in a circle is a basic melee attack, the one that will be used for things like opportunity attacks. The other swords are normal melee attacks you can use on your own turn. Also note that there's only Imediate, Move and Attack Action (no swift, full round).

I also have my hopes on non-monk fistfighters as well :D

Speaking of that, have you noticed that some creatures with a character class (fighter, cleric, etc) have its Power Source as an ability? Tiefling Rogue has "Tiefling * Martial", the Tiefling Cleric has "Tiefling * Divine". Now, consider the Shadar kai and his "Shadow * Shadar Kai" descriptor: Shadow Power Source confirmed or just character type, like "Sahuagin * Aquatic"? There are some exceptions, like the Drow (not Evil. Hooray! ), who are "Fey * Drow", but the Spider Priestess doesnt have "Divine"...

Also remember that all of these monsters, except one (probably Bruenor Battlehammer) will appear in the Monsters Manual.
Could be, but didn't they also say that Brass and Copper Dragon would be replaced by Iron and Adamantine ones?
Edit: nevermind, it's Brass and Bronze that are out.

Well, well, well, lookey here: Capricious Copper Dragon.

Very interesting. It can make two attacks per turn, slow breath at will or acid line once and... and it's immune to acid? So dragons can still be immune to an element, huh? ;)

(Well, I wasnt going to mention this, from fear of derailing the thread, but... Elf Conjurer spell: Melf's Unicorn Arrow? )
