I'm thinkin Gnome Sorcerer... Using the craft potions skill...

Daerkin was picked on by the other Gnomes in his village for being even smaller than normal.... He found sorcery as an answer to enlarging his body... but that was only temporary... Once he enlarged his body through sorcery for the first time, he found the feelign he was searching for his whole life. However, once the effect of his spell wore off, he was incredibly disappointed. He wanted to stay that size forever. He heard rumors stirring up in the streets of the city about an alchemist that was working wonders for people. He had to find this person for himself. When he found this person, he begged and begged for a potion that would give him a larger body permanently. This old man, knowns as Traldain Illafain, had no idea how to brew a potion, but to keep his reputation as a great alchemist, he sent Daerkin on a frivolous hunt to find some components that he would need for this "potion". The heart of an Ancient Wyrm, the subcoastal muscle of a mind flayer, and the eye of a Roc. He found the eye but when he went back to the old man's shop... he found it completely empty. Traldain had completely vanished! That is when he sought alchemy to brew potions to enlarge his body... permanently... He has yet to find all the components for the potion but is still on his dire quest to find them which he believes are necessary for his potion... He will not reveal the components to anyone... for he wants the potion all to himself... so he can be bigger than everyone... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thinkin that for my background.... of course gonna pick up some feats like brew potions...
I'm gonna go work on the other stuff for my character now...

Some problems Zack:

Sorcerers depend on Charisma for all their spells. You've got a character with a reasonable intelligence, but Charisma is too low. It kinda sucks that you rolled so low though... so I'm questioning what to do. You could, however, manage a gnome wizard or illusionist easily.

Another option would be to play a more monsterous race to get the boosts I guess, or to rely on magic items.

I know... I was gonna get some magic items to boost charisma... or brew potions that boost my charisma... I gotta head to work right now... I didnt have any other resources for me besides my phb... so Sorcerer looked like the best bet outta the classes in the phb

Hey guys, Tony went to bed so if you get home from work and want to play call us and I'll wake him up, you will need to have your character done mostly though, and Tyler the same applies for you. Just be done by tomorrow night at least, but I would rather play tonight even though it seems unlikely to happen.

Alright, I'll stay home today then (snow on the ground anyway, I've got no reason to be leaving). Also still havn't finished a couple things (like kotor), so I'll sit it out. Once there's a clear day though, I'm going.

Also, it doesn't really affect this game, but I just thought of an interesting house rule. I like it, tell me what you think:

Paladins normally get a bonus to all saves equal to their charisma modifier (if positive). What if, instead, a Paladin gets all good saves (instead of just good fortitude), and can use either his charisma modifier or the applicable ability score modifier for saves? Maybe that's a bit of an unintentional nerfing though. Most if not all paladins would end up with all saves being equal, and their will/reflex would be on-average higher, while their fortitude would be slightly lower (though still equal to the other two saves).
