Adding Lolth's stats together, you get 189.

189 - 14 (DR) - 21 (base) - 10 (for 40 levels) = 144

Works for all the other gods I've seen too, regardless of DR...

Doesnt work for Ares (page 107):

Ares: Str 48, Dex 26, Con 32, Int 25, Wis 25, Cha 29
Divine Rank: 15

I agree its not a universal system but it is one that seems to work for an inordinate amount of deities - though not those in CoC.

Incidently can someone explain Divine Fast Healing for me?

Since I'm reading this thread... ;)

Divine Fast Healing: The Deity gais fast healing of 20 + Divine Rank. Lost body parts reattach instantly when pressed back against the wound. Doesn't stack with Fast Healing but can be gained multiple times and stacks with itself.

What's amusing in all of this is that with all these means of restoring lost limbs, you'd think there would be a way to lose them in the first place... ;)

Possibly true. However, on page 32 it says that "A salient divine ability functions normally within an antimagic field...". Since Alter Reality is a salient divine ability, and since Alter Reality is responsible for the enhancement bonus and the permanence of the enhancement bonus, you'd think that it would still function normally. Hence, a deity would be able to keep it's increased stats even in antimagic.
 


I don't think it does. I haven't been following the thread that closely, but I think they are using that as a guideline for creating your own deities.

I just read through the thread and with the exception of some gods(Ares) it does appear to work.
But as stated before, what happens to an ability that is already over 24? Doe sit default to 24 or do you leave it?
