Deity Headache

So either Google has gotten worse with search results (how tony danza can be a 'related topic' is beyond me...) or my GoogleFu is terrible...

Either way I'm sure this has been asked before but my search results have been for not.

Is there any Deity out there (any campaign setting or edition, at this point I don't care) that is;
LG
has War domain access
favored weapon: greatsword?

Only ones I've found with war domain/greatsword have been CG or some type of Evil.

Reason I ask is because I have a Pally build that will use a greatsword/buckler and I want to get him the Gauntlets of War, because lets face it, +3 damage for 4K gold is pimp. However, I need to worship a Deity with War domain and use his favored weapon (greatsword in my case).

Can I worship any CG god with war domain/greatsword and be LG as a Pally? Or are they restricted to being within one alignment shift like Clerics are? I havent played a Paladin in a long, long time. So its all new to me again.

...by the way, theres like 3 Deities that have war/longsword =P

You could make your own deity.

Remember, you can be one step away from your deity and still be a worshipper.

Consequently, your deity can be lawful neutral, lawful good, or neutral good.

if only it were that easy... our DM is... very by the book. If you can show a source it pretty much goes, but made up stuff and 3rd party not so much.

Haela Brightaxe from FR has the War Domain and favors the Greatsword, but she's a dwarf deity. Also, more worshiped by dwarf women than men.

But there is no rules conflict, as CG deities can have LG followers.

While Paladins have to be LG, they can follow deities that are CG, LG, or LN. Possibly NG as well.

Alternatively, you could play a Cleric and call yourself a Paladin.

It only states a cleric's alignment must be within one step of his deity, not a Paladin. I would clarify this with your DM. This would make things easier.

Haela Brightaxe is CG, if that's an issue.

you could play a pally variant from UA or one of the dragon magazines (cant remember which one, but there is an issue with a bunch of variants of paladins of different alignments)

FR's Mystra is NG and sponsors paladins.

Can't help with the Great-sword/War domain though.
