Demonomicon in Dragon #359

In case you haven’t been following this thread on the Paizo forums, here is the scoop.

In Dragon #359, there will be a final Demonomicon article in Dragon’s print run. (It remains to be seen as of yet if Wizards is going to use the feature in their DI.) It will be different than the others, though, as this one “will not be about a single demon lord, in fact, but several of them (mostly more obscure ones.)” Also, it will not feature Graz'zt or Orcus, and I would presume that the other “big 14” from Fiendish Codex I who had yet to receive a Demonomicon treatment (Juiblex, Obox-ob, Pale Night, Yeenoghu) will also have to wait their turn and hope that the DI will favor them.

James has promised to include Ugudenk in the next Demonomicon, as well as some others that have been mentioned in previous articles and some that haven’t. Adimarchus won’t be included, and Siragle probably won’t. As for the rest, we’ll have to wait and see unless he drops more hints!

A big list of demon lords can be found on wikipedia and this poll I made, so we can speculate who else might be included. ;)

I personally am hoping to see more on Sess’Innek the lord of lizard kings, Zanassu the Spider Demon, Ilsidahur the bar-lgura lord, J’zzalshrak the Blood War general, Scht’theraqpasstt of the yuan-ti, Shaktari of the mariliths, and some of the Planescape-era Abyssal lords (Alzrius, Lissa’aere, Lupercio, Thralhavoc, Volisupula) which have been thus far grossly underrepresented. ;)

I really hope Alzrius is included in that list of demon lords. It's a crime that he's been so ignored this long! :)

Any reason for this one? Zanassu (first introduced in FR3, IIRC) is long since dead. And he never really had much of a role anywhere, much less FR.

Did I miss more stuff about him?

it's a therapist for people who are afraid of being eaten by giant snakes. you know, that type of therapy where you face your greatest fear...

I think I'm looking forward to this Demonomicon more than any other. Just the thought of all those obscure fella getting the Demonomicon treatment makes me crack a fiendish smile. :]

Ironically, if WotC decides to continue the series and keeps James around, if a few years this might be my least favorite since all those within will have been given the full treatment. :D
