Not sure if anyone's suggested it yet (sorry, haven't read the whole thread), but my Warforged character took great offense at being called a "golem". While it's technically an accurate assessment of his nature, he sees himself and his kind as something surpassing typical notions of constructs.
I should point out that this isn't a typical "punch you in the face" Warforged former soldier. This was a Warforged Artificer who had been purpose-built for the task. Our group decided that all Warforged have 3 digits (2 fingers and an opposable), and this guy had been built with 5 (standard human configuration). I'd like to think that, given the resources and the time, he would do for Warforged body what Leonardo Da Vinci did for the human body.
So, as you can imagine, for this guy to be called a golem would be like if someone called a human a monkey.
