Describe your NEXT game session!

The PCs will go to Quervarr, in the Moonwood in the North of the Forgotten Realms, have some fights with lycantropes, and I will be forced to make lots of stuff up because I haven't actually done any preparation work yet...

Sigh

Well, as we ended our last session, the party had split to attend to various duties around the village of Vesek in Albadia (Scarred Lands). The village was in a sorrowful state, as the untimely arrival of giants to the north has forced them to pull up stake and flee to the southern city of Sijin. The party druid and fighter traveled via plants to battle a lone Proud (a lion-like centaur), who awaited their return. Seeing that they intended a fight, betrayal in the Proud’s eyes, he enacted a special curse using a magicked horn he carried. The proud was slain, but the curse has just begun.

The party, split in various directions, will all be attacked by ethereal dire lions. I’m a bit concerned over the ethereal jaunt + pounce attack that can be done, but I have faith in my party. Many thanks to those who helped in the template thread I started!

Also, this session heralds the return of the party’s cleric – well at least the return of her player. She’s agreed to help me by playing her character’s evil twin, a skilled assassin met once before in the chronicle. Her goal is to steal the artifact that the PCs currently possess, eliminating threats that prevent her from leaving. All in all, looks to be a good session.

Playing Tonight

My group's next game is tonight.
I can picture it now.

As I park the horseless carriage outside the dwelling, the Northern Virginia air chilled by the wind whiping by. Pressing their entrance bell, Destan answers the door smilingly wickedly, "Magnus, I'm so glad you made it...hehe". Shouldering my pack as I enter his dungeon, entering that deep back room. You can see that TPK D20 sitting there waiting for us.
Destan looks at us and says where were you again, aahhh yes the Crypts of the Abbey of Sin.........

This is all followed by maniacal laughter on Destan's part.

One of my players keeps wanting me to create a Sith who leads an "alternative lifestyle" (his words) and name him Darth Fabulous. I have thus far resisted.

What about Darth Viagra? <insert lightsaber joke here> :p

Sun night group: We just finished a 2+ year high-magic, high-power campaign last session. The DM is moving away so this Sun we are going to take a bit of a break and start working on characters for a Midnight campaign (oh yeah!) one of the other guys is going to run. After that, we might play Munchkin of the Lord of the Rings boardgame.

Tues night group: Continue Dungeon Adventure Path. The players are making their way through Jzadirune and just captured the dark stalker leader and brought him back to the Temple of St. Cuthbert. Next session, they plan to head back in and use him as a guide to find the missing children. Should be interesting to say the least....

Well, my next game is Sunday. Our group is trying to track down Oliver Thrace, a Tremere vampire who attempted to frame us in the eyes of Juan Lobos de Castillo, the Prince of San Francisco. My boss, Luthor von Grosshausen (of the La Sombra clan), is romancing Thrace's assistant, while Luthor's driver, Sabina Martinez (a.k.a. DJ Vibe of Clan Toreador), is trying to avoid being killed by her former boyfriend, now a vampire of Clan Ravnos.

Meanwhile, the head of security for the von Grosshausen residence, Brock (Clan Brujah), and his new assistant, Jason (Clan Ventrue), are trying to devise some way to keep a Malkavian named Renatus from just popping up in the mansion whenever he feels like it.

As Mr. von Grosshausen's personal assistant, I'm trying to translate a magical text we recovered from a haunted house, but unfortunately, I'm also dealing with an addiction to these strange red apples that keep appearing within the house. (I'm a former Follower of Set, by the way.)

Beyond these individual concerns, I'm not sure what the next session will bring.

Saturday group: Probably continue with our Conan game.

Sunday group (Eberron): Continue with Whispers of the Vampire's Blade. Hopefully I'll have things timed well enough to start Grasp of the Emerald Claw when it's released.

Must... refrain... can't... quote..........

"I see your Schwartz is as big as mine."

Agh! Now look what you've made me do! ;)

My players are in the middle of a modified version of Forge of Fury, ...(spoilers ahead).

They've already cleared all the orcs out of th is dwarf hold, and are now continuing to explore it. At the end of last session they encountered their first five duergar and captured/dominated one. Duergar are new to my world (dwarves twisted by mind flayer experiments), so as they encounter more, they're hoping to get some secrets out of their leader (a corrupted dwarf formerly of one of the player's clan, also the same clan that used to inhabit this hold).

Depending on time, they might also begin investigate the (expanded) haunted residential part of this hold, or head down below and fight a black dragon (first real dragon fight of any of my campaigns).
