I tend to like published adventures because I can have all the stat work done up for me and change stuff as I need it. I'm one of those DMs who doesn't actually have a lot of free time to work on my own stuff. Wish I did, but thems the breaks. Besides if I put a lot more into my adventure writting I couldn't spend as much time on Enworld. lol
Ah, yeah. If it took me too long to do adventures, I probably wouldn't write them either. But they come to me as if in flashes of lightning, and then they are there. Which is cool if they come to me, but can work against me when they don't. Fortunately, I will soon have both of the two things that tend to inspire me--character backstory (which I can understand why it inspires me) and Psychology class (I have no idea why it inspires me to adventures that are completely nonsequitur to the class, but somehow it does)

Hey I get that, I had a german history class that somehow inspired intricate MtG decks :) I tend to hit those moments late late at night. Thats when my creativity is all fired up. My group tends to meet infrequently so those are often fleeting plans. I've tried to put them up on Enworld, but again with the slowness of Pbp I loose the inspiration too quickly.

See, when I get the inspiration, I let it gestate and write out something barebones (usually no more than 100 words). Then I turn it into a game. I managed to take the Kiss of Darkness idea for a short adventure and screw it up until it ran from 1st to 21st level and is still going  Of course, in all that time, they didn't beat the original baddies. Did I mention this was one of those Psych class ones? Of course, in the original KoD game, they just tracked the first guy right away when the DC was low, so they never had as much trouble as the three groups have so far online :D

BTW, did you ever offer to let those 2 straglers form the other group join the KOD with 4?

There are four stragglers from that game, including Ilium and Manzanita as well, and they can keep playing as far as I'm concerned as soon as someone does something

Manz, Lord Raven 88 and I were the only ones who posted to the OOC and IC threads post crash. I think we've lost our impetus on that one though.

BTW where are we on the Living Eberron discussion? What items are open at the moment?

I think we've got most of the basics hammered out, actually. Yay!

We'll be talking about accepting books beyond the 2 we have already, but that can be done in the LE area if/when we have it.

I'm just about ready to start, particularly if we have a few people ready to run games. I'd say give us a week or two before we run the first game to let people create characters, bring up concerns, and such. I'd also suggest limiting people to 1 character till we get a few adventures pumped out, and then allowing players to go to 2 or 3 (Basicly, giving everyone a chance at first).
