You are brave, and you have my respect.

I do hope it's not used as just another reason for the ignorant to hate D&D. :)

Thanks, -- N

Louis Porter Jr. Design, in association with Devil’s Workshop, announces the most controversial product to be released for D20 since the Book of Erotic Fantasy.

The Book of Erotic Fantasy was not released for d20.

I'd take that into very careful consideration.

To be fair, the BoEF was intended to be released for d20, and the BoEF Preview Book that was released in August 2003 was indeed a d20 product. It was just that WotC changed the d20 License to exclude the book, and Valar (who had anticipated that) made it an OGL book in response.

The point you missed is that this product is quite likely to violate WOTC's Quality Standards. Violence standards, Sexual standards, and probably the Religious standards.

Far be it from me to question why Louis does the things he does but this product almost seems specifically designed to invite unpleasant oversight from WOTC.

No, according to the initial press releases, it was released for Dungeons & Dragons! :D

Wait, didn't it just...

require the use of the DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Player's Handbook?

That's how I recall it. BOEF caused the fontsize restriction on the D&D disclaimer.

Nah, the entire press release announcing it was littered with WotC's PI. Obviously it wasn't a mistake, because it was Anthony Valterra writing it, but it was there and very blatant.
