Dice bags from The Gamer's Bag(TM): Now with New Materials!

15 years ago i bought a leather drawstring pouch from a Pueblo indian shop in New Mexico. I was on vacation and that bag served me well as a dicebag for until my son destroyed it a couple of months ago, if you offer leather i'd most likely buy.

What colors of leather would you like to see? Black is a given, what else? (Everyone else interested in leather chime in here too please!)

Gah, WorldCom, eh? That's tough. My brother-in-law is at Nortell in Dallas, and my mother-in-law constantly worries that he'll be laid off. I'm at Ford, and I used to get calls from family worried about me too, but we're actually hiring.

At least the cost of living in Texas is low, all things considered! :) I might pick up one of your bags. My wife looked at a bag recently (not a dice bag, but could have been) and said she could copy it. I was going to ask her to make me one, but hearing your story I'd probably just as soon order one. Be sure and drop us a line here to let us know when they are available for order.

EDIT: I'd like leather too, if you can offer it. But it really depends on what other cloth you offer: I could just as easily do something else. A thick felt, sorta like a CR bag, would probably be even better. Could you monograph leather even?

Dice Holder

I have found that tennis ball cans (bottles? jars?) make excellent dice holders. They are also handy for pencils and pens and I keep one full of plastic mini animals too.

I would be REALLY interested in leather, and it would be great if you gave the option of "which side out" when you made them.

Black, two shades of brown (Say... one around a chocolate or tree-bark shade, another more of a walnut, bordering on tan)... and maybe a reddish-brown too.

And will you be able to get the metal bits on dicebags other than the Royal if you request it, and at what cost? I don't need a bad that big, but I like the thought of having metal on one.

Thanks, we appreciate it. I will definitely let everyone the second Derek gets our section live.

We have over 60 different patterns, and all are very good quality cloth. Most are 100% cotton, and we tested each for toughness to make sure the bags won't fall apart. I've had my oldest one for four years with no problems. Our biggest thing was that we wanted variety, the old gray dice bag wasn't going to do it. And EVERYBODY has a Crown Royal bag, so why not make one similar, but better?
Yes, we can monogram leather.

Yeah, tennis ball cans might work, but can you carry it AND two full bags when you go game hopping. I use a large pencil box (says "spacemaker" on top) to hold all my dice. It's a bit noisy when I walk with it, and it takes up space in my bag where I should have more books.

As for leather colors, a very dark brown will probably be my choice. Better for showing off a brand mark if you decide to offer that option. I might be able to talk an art friend of mine into crafting a personal logo brand that I can use :) And I thought all that metalbending art stuff was just poo--she can brand dicebags for a living!

The "which side out" would be no problem. The grommets could be added to all but the Tiny size bags, the grommets that we'd have to use are one sided and it damages the bag. We'd charge an additional $1.00 for grommetting. Cool beads are also available for the ends of the cord at an additional $1.50. You'll have to see the images to get the full idea of the beads, they're not cheap looking crap.

I have about 1800 dice. What ccould you do for me? Of course I don't use many of them but it would be cool to show up places with a friggin-giant dice bag with most of my dice.

Based on the discussion so far, I think you should order a couple of the Royal (10”x4.5” rounded bottom – 14”circumference) dice bags. Tie each one to opposite ends of a long stick (quarterstaff?).

Walk into games with the stick resting on your shoulders/neck, arms hanging over the stick to keep it in place, the dice bags dangling down. Tote that load!

Paladinwife here! Funny you should ask that, I was just considering the idea of making a gargantuan dice bag for display for Gen Con next year or maybe GameCon in March. I'm seeing total triple stitching for security, you don't want it to crack under pressure, definately a larger sized cord, which, no problem there. It would have to be about 8 times larger than a Royal bag!!! Wow, definitely doable on a special order. E-mail us at and we can work it out, if you are serious.
