Crusader, I don't think they were intending to make fun of the Pope because he has Parkinson's. I think they were making fun of him because he seems to be a billion years old. Kind of like making fun of Dick Clark because he's a billion years old. Tacky, sure, but not offensive in his own right, save that he's the Pope and your religious leader.

The difference is that the Pope is suffering from a disease that greatly contributes to his appearance of fraility. Making fun of people who are suffering from diseases (from Parkinson's to AIDS to whatever) is indeed offensive. I'd say the same thing if someone posted that Michael J. Fox looks like a creepy, frail freak because of his Parkinson's, too.

I was just saying to my husband that David Bowie must be a Vampire. Or maybe an Incubus. Nobody can be that beautiful at his age. And he doesn't look like his skin is stretched tight from plastic surgery like Joan Rivers.

We all have problems to one extent or another. This thread seams to be a light hearted attempt to joke about it. Not to be taken seriously! I like Dick Clark and Phyllis Diller. But they, like almost everybody on this planet are humorous/ funny. The Bush Twins, Rob Zombi, Marth Stewart, me and you......... Lighten up. You is funny too. oh yea, Marlon Brando, Very large Flesh Golem!

Rob Zombie is a vampire. But one that can walk in the daylight.

I saw him at Ozzfest. The sun was bloomin' hot *all Day* and there was no shade. The only place there was shade was 3 rows of seats in front of the stage, where you had to be rich to sit.

Rob Zombie gets on stage. He gives a shout out to all the people sitting in the sun. One of the guys in the front row stands up and says 'F you!' to all the people in the sun. Rob Zombie stops everything, and tries to get the tech crew to put a Camera on this dude, to put him on the Big Screen, so Everyone can see who he is.

Talk about charisma.
