Got misty-eyed a few times. I literally never cry at movies, but RotK was just made to work on me. Broken hearts and cuddly little animals dying don't do it for me. But show me a bunch of idiots on horses charging an army five times their size in a totally futile attempt - you'll get me every time.

Got misty-eyed during the scenes with Theoden and Eowyn, but then I'm a softee when it comes to Father-daughter scenes...even if he was only a father in all but name. The wife got teary-eyed as well, but expected to.

Of course. I cry during movies all the time, both in sad scenes as well as joyous ones.

That's why I love movies, frankly: they move me like no other medium.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS, just in case someone hasn't seen the movie.

Yep, cried a whole lot, both times I saw it. Pippin's song playing over Faramir's charge to Osgiliath had me looking like a busted watermain. I audibly choked up during the "Release the prisoners" scene. There's a shot of a Fell Beast grabbing some Gondorian soldiers and throwing them off the walls, and you see them falling a long ways before they hit the roofs of buildings far below; knowing that they knew they were going to die, having that long to think about it, and feeling like I was falling with them, all made it a very emotional moment.

Gandalf's charge against the Fell Beasts, when his staff flares to life, was awe-inspiring enough to make me tear up. "For Frodo" made me a little misty, but no tears.

No weeping but there were some tears during Fellowship and at a few parts during RotK. Highlights was the bowing to the hobbits, Sam's heroics at the end and the noble (suicidal at the time) Rohirrim charge.

Tears of joy most of the time. I didn't expect it so they just kinda leaked out. Felt good. :)

Can't wait to take my sister this weekend who had finals last week to see/hear her reactions. She's a bigger fan than I.

Every time I get to the bit where Pip offers his service to Denethor I get misty, and the movie hit me in just the same way. There's something about that gesture, so noble, made without any real understanding of the issues or the dangers, just a spontaneous gesture of assistance and a willingness to serve.

I love Pippin.

Spoilers.

Yes.

The Rohirrim really hit me hard. Faramir's charge against Osgilith. Elrond telling Aragorn that Arwen is dying. Sam telling Frodo that he doesn't think they're going home.
