LOL that is a whole lot a coin flippin goin on there!7d2+1, (8-15) average 11,50
8d2+1, drop lowest, average 12
9d2+1, drop 2 lowest, average 12,5
10d2+1, drop 3 lowest, average 13
also, if you want to roll for "average" stats and still have 8-15, you can take 9d2+1, drop 2 highest for an average of 10,5.
yup, but good thing is, that you can use coins or almost any dice to roll all those d2'sLOL that is a whole lot a coin flippin goin on there!![]()
Ah, ok, I see now. Neat!It is made using the idea from @DEFCON 1, so you pick 2 cards from a selection of 12 cards (whose total value is the same as the total of ''point buy'' character's ability score) for each ability score, adding both of them to generate that score.
These are the name of some of the tarokka cards, and their value.
The Celtic cross spread is really more to add a theatrical flare to the whole process. You could just draw an ability card, then draw 2 cards from the pile of 12 cards to make a score.
But that's less cool![]()
LOL you ARE having fun with this, huh?3 times 6 + 2d4 (average 11)
3 times 11 + 1d4 (average 13.5)
together it is an average of 12.25
Yes.LOL you ARE having fun with this, huh?![]()
Cool, I hope this gives you inspiration for it!Yes.
Right now we are rolling 3d6 drop lowest +4. This gives values between 6 and 16.
I am looking for a more interesting alternate method that involves rolling.
game works far better with point buy or standard array than with rolling.I mean, the game is designed around 4d6 drop the lowest, that's always worked pretty well in practice.
