Digging For Lies - A Weapon of Mavisha Destruction

Bruize

First Post
In an odd turn of events tonight, my players decided to capture the last remaining Slime Walker, leading it around the deck of The Dagger until it had absorbed all the slime zones. They did this by using an accelerated Leomund's Secret Chest ritual, Hypnotism, and clever use of game mechanics. At first I was going to be realistic and tell them no but I felt like they deserved something for their effort.

Their intent is to try to find a way to weaponize the empowered Slime Walker. I'm planning to have it shipped off to some kind of RHC or Danoran research facility to be researched. They likely won't hear anything about it for a long while but I was wondering, what kinds of items could be created by harnessing this creature's powers (that won't be game breaking)?

Crazy Unit 27...

lol, wow

Um, let me think on that. I'd honestly keep it in your pocket for as long as you can, then deploy it when they won't expect it, in like adventure 11 or something, when they need to cow some Fey Titans.

...in like adventure 11 or something, when they need to cow some Fey Titans.

Dear lord, my players were arguing over whether to off Finona for her involvement in the whole Apet Seal fiasco and blamed her for waking a Fey Titan. I can only imagine the havoc they will wreak on their enemies if Fey Titans run amok.

Here's something off the top of my head. It has two parts, the belt designed to protect the wearer from the second part, and a consumable dose of slime that coats them.

Belt of the Slime Walker
Level ? Cost ?
Waist Slot
Property: The wearer gains resist 5 acid (10 at paragon, 15 at epic). In addition the wearer can safely use slime skins.

Slime Skin
Level ? Cost ?
Consumable
Power (Acid, Consumable): Minor action: When you use this power you gain 10 temporary hit points. As long as you have temporary hit point remaining from this power, you deal an additional 1d6 acid damage with melee attacks. When you lose these temp hit points, make the following attack (no action).
Close burst 1 (all creatures in burst)
+ (item level + 2) vs. Reflex.
Hit: 1d6 acid damage (2d6 at paragon, 3d6 at epic)

They scientists would have to harvest the slime skin from the walker, so the PCs would get a dose or two every adventure or so.
