I think that may take a small while, still. ;)

All I can find on the Vastermarch comes from the Rivenblight description.

About Hendrallia:
A human dominated realm that sits on the eastern border of RivenBlight. The government feels the KingdomOfMedibaria to too old and weak. They would very much like to absorb thier neighbor to the south. The River Roars seperates the two nations and makes it almost impossible to move troops. The only good crossing is the bridge which joins the cities of Hartworth in Hendrallia to Alerv in the KingdomOfMedibaria. So far the Elves who live in the lasts to the west have deflected Hendrallian incursion. There is one town called Jarfa where the Hendrallians have begun logging and making life difficult for the Elves of SilverWood. If a diplomatic solution can not be found the Hendrallians may soon find an Elvish army on thier doorstep.

Moer proof that we should get a campaign document up. ;)

On a totally unrelated note, I've begun experimenting with image battle grids, which I might use, but since I'm still experimenting, I'm unsure how useful they might be and what I should change. The character images most likely need to change in some way - they may be hardly recognizable. The dragon in the third one is just there for size comparison.

What program are you using? I make grids, also, but using Photoshop they take a while to be made (though once you have all the layers it´s easy to move them around; that is, once you made the first round, the rest doesn´t take almost time) Here are some of my maps, used in a pbem.

Prepare to call me stupid - I use PovRay, which is almost contrary to its purpose. For some reason, the other mapping programs do not... I don't get into them, so to speak. Not the fault of the programs, mine alone.

Would like someone to approve a new character submitted in the character thread... not sure I had to tell it here, but just in case. And no hurry, there is no rush.

I'm usually the one that handles character approvals. That's me, the character approval co-judge. Just send me an email and we'll discuss the character issues for Opale that need addressing. My email address is nimisgod at hotmail dot com.

Someone, Knight Otu: I'm jealous. I need that kind of detail for my PBEM and my Pbp adventures. MS Paint Jpegs just don't cut it anymore.

Well, I haven't used those maps yet, so I don't know how well they would be received. That reminds me, I experimented a bit further...
I'm much happier with the character "tokens" now. The numbering may be blurred due to jpg compression.

Hey all,

I was wondering if I could get a Judge to review a game (Rivenblight's Castaway) with the view to winding it up and returning the characters to the Tavern. Its been a while since the DM appeared and there hasn't been any real movement for quite some time.

I posted a note to the game thread to let people know I was going to be asking this.

The game has been running for a year (exactly a year I was rather surprised to discover), and has involved a fair deal, but only covers about 3-4 days of game time. Does anyone knopw how XP is handled in this situation? Poor Jaan has been actively in-game for nearly a year and a half and hasn't got to second level yet.

thanks

Established policy is 100 XP per RL month -- and I believe it was instituted specifically with situations like this in mind, where characters got bogged down in a game snagged on RL obstacles. So that's 1200 XP for Jaan in addition to whatever he gets for killing his enemies, roleplaying, etc. Welcome to second level!

I'm able to view the site at 11 AM here (noon eastern). Honestly, that is a first without the struggle of 2-3 minute delays for threads to que up.

It's nice.

Alright, I'm read up to page 20 now on the game I'm judging. I'll catch up on the rest later today (and update my games). There "probably" should be a rewards for some of the non-combat challenges, and a bit of a reward for the rp text, as they were pretty well handled by everyone involved. There also appears to have been a new party member that joined around page 20 (Ottakun's Ranger), which will require a partial, seperate, xp reward.

Combat Experience Notes:
Troi CR 1 encounter Page 13
Troi 3x CR 1 encounter Page 14-15

That would put Troi at 2400 xp just from combat and time spent.

I was a nice game. It had dream sequences and all. And Master Hobbes did a nice line in dwarves.

Thanks creamsteak. I realise its a fairly long read you've got there.

Alright, I'm ready:

Garret (played by Otakkun): 800 time spent experience, 75 combat related experience.
Troi (played by Gnomeworks): 1200 time spent experience, 1200 combat related experience.
Ioleta, Velbrik, and Jaan (Sparky, WizWrm, Doghead respectively): 1200 time spent experience, 150 combat related experience.

Non-combat challenges comprise approximately 3 CR 1 encounters by my estimates. That's going to be split evenly across the group. I'm adding an extra 10% to the time spent experience as a "role-playing reward" for all players.

I'll need a second judge to step in and approve my numbers since I'm handing this out instead of the GM.

Garret: 800+75+180+80 = 1135
Troi: 1200+1200+180+120 = 2700
Ioleta: 1200+150+180+120 = 1650
Jaan: 1200+150+180+120 = 1650
Velbrik:1200+150+180+120 = 1650

My only real (sp) discrepency is that Ioleta, Jaan, Velbrik, and Garret would have likely gotten another large share of experience which Troi wouldn't have been able to participate in (him being as wounded as he was), and that would have likely balanced all things had the game ran a bit longer.

For treasure reward, I'm not sure what the "reward" for the adventure was going to be (it must be in an old RD thread, it's not on the first couple pages of the game thread). Guessing blindly, I'd say each character gets 1350 gp (1/2 the highest experience awarded) and that should put them (on average) on par with their level. If that seems to high, 900 is close enough (and a pretty even number) at 1/3 the highest experience awarded.

Hrm... that given I think I should reduce the gold reward to maybe 500 gp a head to fit in line with what "should" have happened. Technically it should be less, but given the length of time spent there...
