The thought has been given, and rejected. We'll keep to using the SRD, as well as proposed (and accepted) material. Proposed material can be homebrewed or come from any OGC source.
If you were to propose something inspired by the Complete books, it would have to be very different.

Hrm... that given I think I should reduce the gold reward to maybe 500 gp a head to fit in line with what "should" have happened. Technically it should be less, but given the length of time spent there...

Both the XP (1650) and GP (500) awards are fine by me. More than I expected really.

Thanks Creamsteak, Knight Otu for your time on this.

In Skip William's latest issue of "Rules of the Game", it was mentioned that mounts have to be one size larger than their riders. Now, the only people this is going to impact are the dwarves who ride ponies. There is an advantage in this, since ponies don't take up as much space as horses do.

Are we following the Sage's ruling? Or do we allow dwarves and other medium races of a certain stature (short humans, half-elves and elves) to ride ponies (or other medium sized creatures)?

Well, the dwarf/pony thing was changed in the revision to dwarf/horse, specifically due to the size categories (I heard it before, but only your post brought it back to memory; I should play more non-humans, I think :D). Are there characters this would impact?

About one or two. If ponies are allowed for dwarves, I'm probably going to get my dwarf one (when he gets enough money). Like I said, there are some advantages to it compared to a warhorse, cost and size amongst them. They aren't as tough as warhorses are though.

Ruling against this would also prevent people from buying a donkey/mule and using it as an 8 gp mount.

Personally, I've always seen dwarves-on-ponies as very odd. If I make a dwarf, he's going to ride an ogre. An abused, unweildy, but more intelligent than his rider, ogre.

I believe dice tags have been disabled for now, because they contained a glitch. The syntax should be
(dice=#dice)#sides(/dice), changing the () to []

So, (dice=1)20(/dice) rolls 1d20.

[dice=1]20[/dice]

I resent that! They may be gruff, but deep down, dwarfs are just like the rest of us.
