dising 3.5

Let me extrapolate here to clear some things up.

As Diaglo pointed out I am often brash. Just my nature I guess.

This was a synopsis - it was posted from work.

In reality it was more like this.

J: I don't like the new rules because of what I've heard about them.

Me: Who did you hear it from.

J: A friend of mine.

Me: The books are right there why don't you take a look through them?

J: I don't like the Ranger's hit die decrease.

Me: Do you like their skill point increase?

J: What skill point increase?

Me: The books are right there why don't you take a look through them.

J: I don't like the new perform skill?

Me: What about the changes to pick pocket?

J: What changes to pick pocket?

Me: The books are right there why don't you pick them up and take a look?

J: My friend

Me: (cutting him off) The books are right there why don't you pick them up and take a look?

J: Me Friend

....

Also he missed the session where we took the actual vote on switching. It was unanamous among the people who were there so he would have lost anyway.

Another point he usually only makes one out of every three sessions. Granted a lot of this is beyond his control which is why we tolerate it. But still, someone who is there every week should have more say then someone who is not.

My group and I will be sticking with the 3.0 rules until the end of the current campaign (which will probably end near the end of the year) and then we'll change to 3.5 for the next campaign.

I've bought the 3.5 books as has one of my players. Another is going to use the SRD most likley instead of buying the books and the others will most likely rely on the two of us who have bought 3.5 at least until I can convince them to update.
