Djeta takes about 12 points of damage

So last night, I thought I'd be a nice girlfriend and go off in search of some items to fill MojoGM's Easter Basket. I had about 5 things in mind to pick up and was looking forward to putting the basket together...so much so that I was distracted and failed my climb check, tumbling down a flight of stairs in my apartment.

Luckily I made my reflex save and didn't whack my head or do any serious damage , and I was able to scream loud enough to MojoGM (Chris) and our downstairs neighbor Alex were able to hear me and get me back up to my third floor apartment.

But, after the pain did not subside with ice , Chris took me to the ER where it was determined I sprained my foot pretty bad. I got an air cast and crutches and can not walk on my own without using the crutches (and that's very hard because I don't have a lot of upper body strength and using the crutches hurts my whole upper body pretty bad).

I had to stay out of work today and miss a big breakfast meeting that they only do three times a year (these meetings are usually really fun, as they take place in the function rooms of a fancy schmancy hotel in Boston). I'll likely be out of work tomorrow (which means if they draw my name as the winner for Red Sox opening day tickets, I automaticalloy forfeit my win because you can't win a work raffle if you're not there...not that I'd be able to go anyway... :\ ) . Actually the doctor gave me a note to stay out till Tuesday of next week.

I know, a free week off from work SOUNDS fun, but I have no back-up for my job and that means, when I do come back, I'll have double the workload for a few weeks while I catch up...

Grrrr.

New rule. From now on, I always, ALWAYS turn on the light and hold on to the railing.

Thanks. Me too. Esp. with a holiday weekend coming up, being able to at least walk a little bit by Saturday would be nice. Ah if only I had a wand of cure moderate... ;)

You're lucky you weren't in my game. I house rule that falls do Con damage.

Keep healthy, and get well soon. And once you're well, show off your groovy super-strong arms.

Well, judging by your avatar, you obviously have access to the Savage Species spell, Fins to Feet. Maybe you should check your other books and see if your DM will allow you to use something else to help you out. ;)

Thanks. Maybe if my arms get strong enough I'll add a level of Barbarian to myself... :uhoh:

:)

12hp worth of damage would kill four commoners. You lucked out. Are you sure you didn't already take a level of barbarian?
[ruleslawyer]Technically, it would kill only one 2 hp commoner. It would leave two to four such commoners dying at -4, -2 and -1 hp respectively, and it would leave six commoners disabled at 0 hp each.

Since Djeta's currently disabled, I'm guessing she either has impressive Constitution, or she's higher than 1st level. Maybe a bit of each.[/ruleslawyer]

Djeta, do take the chance to have a good rest and get well soon. Look on the bright side: you survived a CR 2 challenge -> XP!

[whine] I got an air cast

So you can levitate, now. Right? Sweet deal! Superpowers are awesome! I figure you're going to take that "air cast", put on a costume (to strike fear in the hearts of criminals) and fight the forces of evil!

Good luck in your crime fighting this week, but remember: with great power, comes great responsibility!
