Kaz will remain walking with Raekz, continually throwing an eye over his shoulder remaining vigilent for threats and cutpurses. The hobgoblin keeps a hand close to his coin purse.

As the other hobgoblin converses with the shopkeep, Kaz will stand with his arms crossed and await a response before he steps in. His stomach rumbles slighty at the mention of the spicy sandwich though.

"Spicy sandwich eh? Sounds good. I remember I once had spicy garuun meat, but that just tasted kinda... bland." Raekz shakes his head at this memory. "Alright, gimme one of them. No wait, two of them in fact. I've got a buddy with me... somewhere. Oh, there. Hey Kaz, got a sandwich for ya. Eat up." Raekz then motions for his fellow hobgoblin to come up to the stall for a bite. And some information gathering.

[sblock=OOC]Eh, just trying to ask for more info of them Rose people. You know, part of information gathering and all.

[sblock=Raekz & Kaz]
Passing over two sandwiches of dark bred and steaming rare meat, coated in some sort of bluish sauce, the Vendor remarks, 'Yours, for 2 gold! An' lemme sweetin' tha pot for ya; I done heard some rumblins that this Ruby Rose ye speak of be in this neighborhood. I had heard somewhere in the caves to the East. Now tha's worth somethin', neh?'

'Well, I wish you luck in finding such an artisan, no doubt they'll be well worth the search. Consequently, I've heard some chap calling himself the Ruby Rose is in the caves to the East, maybe he'd be of help to you?'
With a bow, the halfling leaves you.

The group returns to the Tavern after two hours of gathering information and touring the immediate area of bazar, ships, and very shabby tenement housing that clings to the cliffs. The docks surround you and are the main through way. As the group comes back together at the Sow, they find eachother around a table concealed in shadows, the dank dark of the dockside bar only banished by an ill kept fire and some smoking oil lamps, lending a slick stench to the air.

Raekz takes a seat, with his teeth still a little stained with the blue of the sauce. He looks at the others for a while, before casually asking, in a low voice, "Caves to the east?"

"Now that sounds more like my kind of place, surely there's enemies there?" Kaz replies in a low voice, also picking out bits of the meat still stuck in his teeth and sucking any remaining sauce from his fingers.

OOC: Back from the depths of work- it has been very tough to get my brain around the investigative angle (too much like work), and I've been mostly coasting, confining a majority of my posts to games where I can just react, instead of act. Things seem to be smoothing out now, so I should be able to get back up to speed.

GM: [sblock] Jehen will play along with the bartender, and cough up 5 GP for the info. Other than that, I'll assume that my lengthy silence has bought her a total failure of investigative technique for the time being, just to get back into the timeline with the others. [/sblock]

[sblock=Jehen]
ooc; no worries, the game felt like it got a bit out of hand there for a moment, as I tried to allow the party to interact with the surroundings and so get a better feeling for the campaign world.... admitedly, this is my first time GMing on the boards, so I'm still learning how to keep everything moving. Your character was like tailor made for this adventure, so I'll be glad to see you posting again.

IC: The bartender tells you a burly half-orc who is known by a short pair of tusks and his red hood dwells in the Mud Caves; a very run down neighborhood to the east. The bartender's employees have delivered cases of salted herring and barrells of ale there in the past, he gives you directions on how to get there, but says many warriors guard the place.
