DM and Players needed for NON-D&D PbP game

I've been itching to play a 5-10th level character in a near future d20 Modern game.

Preferably a psychic character. Sort of a psychic special forces or NSA agent.

I add my name to the hat about wanting a high-mid to low-high level d20 modern campaign in the present or near future, preferably some sort of blackops.

I'd play in this much talked about D20 Modern game as well. :) I'm not interested in CoC, not least because I don't have the book.

I myself am already in a CoC game.

So....

DM_Matt, Garyh, and myself are up for a:

Near Future (2004 - 2020)
Mid Level
Special Ops

d20 Modern game

I suggest:

3-5 players
8th level
32 Point Buy

Limited supernatural stuff. I myself would love to play a psychic, but I don't want to play in a world with goblins and wizards around every corner. Like it much more limited.

Now. We just need a DM and perhaps another interested player or two.

Well so far I"m gettting this many people in the list of d20 Modern but I'm not sure who went off to play CoC.

DM_Matt
Ashrem Bayle
Jemal
Krizzel
Argent
KitanaVorr

Anyway, ideas people for a good plot? Good story? Doesn't mean you'll be uh..."elected' to DM. Just means you have ideas!

I was thinking of it becoming sort of like a serial, an episodic type adventure with 'guest DM' for each one so to speak. With each DM there will be a different tone, maybe a different setting depending on where the adventure takes us. Kind of like a TV series in a way.

How does that sound?

EDIT:

Not interested in psychics or goblins. Present or near future works for me.

I would like to play a mage type character. Psionics are fine in the game world in my eyes. just my opinion.

Looks like we've got a couple different ideas going around. Here's mine:

I am pretty much against any supernatural stuff, as I'd like to have one game without special powers and such ;)

These are the ideas I've come up with:

- a GI Joe / Metal Gear hybrid (but serious rather than cartoon, more in following the comic continuity with all the fantastic elements removed); basically an elite anti-terrorist squad

- a 'government conspiracy' style game, staring 'everyday' characters who get pulled into the plot against their will

- a serial 'mystery novel' game; this works best for the revolving DM idea, I think

I could see any of these placed from 1980 to 2020 depending what we want to go for, and tones could easily change from fun to action to horror, etc., with each adventure (though the conspiracy one would have to stay a bit dark all the time).

I love metal gear :)

So I would love to do something like that. Covert ops game works for me.

I just want to do a game free of the trappings of D&D(magic) and starwars(psionics) and CoC (occult) and have science be the ruling factor. Just one game that's different from the rest.

I actually was thinking about DMing a GI Joe comic game. I'm waiting till I'm done with finals in a couple weeks to get started on it, though. Mine would actually be placed in the GI Joe comic continuity, with the PCs being Greenshirts from the new comic line. Go here if you haven't heard about the new comic.

That said, I'd totally be up for playing in such a game AND DMing mine, particularly if the one I played in had some Metal Gear to it. :)

Oh, and I PROMISE there will be NO Cobra-La. :D
