D&D 5E [DM/Flavour Question] Reincarnating (over over until I am a female redhead bugbear)

I have a real suggestion. Do that divining thing. This should get your DM to tell you if that's enough or at least provide the next step in the process.

Sure. I really just meant any sort of magic that lets you ask your DM questions ingame.

Although it doesn't even have to be magic. You could just start by checking the king's library.

So yeah, I guess my suggestion really just boils down to "play this out" which I feel is rather pointless advice since that's what you'll wind up doing one way or another, anyway.

Nah, it's the best advice I've ever gotten regarding DnD. Trust me on that.

I don't have to imagine that at all. I'm on hiatus from DMing right now because I successfully encouraged one of my players into giving the DM chair a try.

I don't find it very weird, though. I'm enjoying the break.

The way that I would play it out in the campaign if I was the DM would be to send the Player on a side trek to find the one person rumoured to be able to perform the Ritual of the Red Haired Bugbear.

This is why errata is objectively bad. It's not simply clarifying rules, it's changing them. I'll stick to how it's written in the PHB thanks.
