Anything. Just toss it at me. :)
Then I would seriously have to consider the DM title... (Honestly)

Okay, first do you have the Midnight campaign setting?

If you do, do you have any of the other books?

Why do you want to play in this game?

Not to sound rude, but in a solo game theirs no need about one pc upstaging another, its one of the small joys… You seem rather willing to accept “table scraps” but I’m not so sure I’m comfortable with that… I’m also not sure if I want to give up my character concept to be more multiple PC friendly. How do you feel about this subject?

When you read what I have written above, what draws you to it?

What would you change?

And lastly when you read the above what do you think is the best thing to play…? (In general and/or something specific.)

Hurm - well, I have the Midnight CS, but that is it. I *might* consider running the game, but I am not so confident in my knowledge of the setting (which is the main reason why I want to play) and I am already running an Oathbound campaign and playing in several others. Thus, I am slightly concerned that I might not be able to give a Midnight game my full attention...

Why do I want to play? I want to learn more about Midnight, I love to roleplay (esp. new settings), and I really want to play in a smaller Pbp game to see if the actual playing dynamics are any better (and if so, why).

Again, on the subject of one character upstaging another - that is not an issue with me - I am the penultimate roleplayer - if my character is a slave, then I play a slave. If I am a goblin follower, cowtowing to his warlord master, then I play it as such. I play to the role, not the game (if that makes sense).

What interests me from the above? The challenge (and freedom) of playing something evil. One of the coolest games I ever played in was an evil campaign where my character was an anti-paladin of Lovitar, the maiden of pain. Sir Lord Tranth "the Paingiver" was an awesome challenge and an exciting rush to play (and a heck of a lot of fun!)

Change? Nothing - it's your party, I'm just along for the ride. :)

If you are playing a bugbear bada$$, then I think maybe a goblin/kobold follower/lackey. Something small and swift to juxtapose the bugbear's size and strength, and something that might also come in handy for sneaking about, spying, and wriggling into dark (or light, as the case may be) places...

I totally understand that, to be honest I have all the books but it's been awhile now since I've seriously read through them... So except for the general darkness it's mostly been lost on me. (The above idea I've been kicking around for a rather long time.)

I love to roleplay in general, so many things to do but few, if any, setting are as dark as Midnight.

As for smaller groups, I've been around I've done a few of them, I also have a two other solo games on these boards, so I can hopefully answer any questions you have but in general the smaller the group the fast it can move, but also the need for dedication is doubled. If you loss a player you lose a bigger percentage of a game.

I do recommend that everyone try a solo game, it’s an amazing way to play. :) (Though I grew up on small parties and only a DM and one player so my belief might be a little skewed in that direction anyhow.

Okay, I was just making sure, obviously for challenges and stuff I don't see your PC being mechanically to far below mine.

Oh the dear mistress of pain how well do I know thee? I too also have an unholy warrior of Loviatar, though it's the corruptor from dragon 312. A half-nymph maiden of unearthly beauty that enjoyed corrupting men, and the occasion woman, of various clothes in a very physical way. :D (She had a thing for paladins and clerics.)

Oh don't think that my bugbear is going to be slow, and remember my words they’re as graceful as an elf. (+2 to dex and a 4 racial bonus on Move Silently checks.)

What would truly be needed, not saying you need to play it, is a face like character, someone who can spy and garner knowledge that would take longer for the bugbear together.

I was thinking maybe a pretty face fast people are drawn to trust... Rather she is evil, or reluctant tool that has no choice, could go either way. :)

I'm liking it already! Tiefling, maybe? ;)

Just had a thought - *if* you want me to play a tiefer, maybe your bugbear has discovered a way to bind the infernal part of her being, so she is essentially enslaved to her lord's will. Could make things cool! :]

Hmmm, that could work. :) I only see one issue a Tiefling is going to face the same issues that a bugbear would... Though probably not as extreme, it would be rare, so very entrusted, its -2 racial adjustment is going to hinder her ability to socialize... I was thinking more along the lines of one of the human race... There is one that gives its racial bonus by player choice... (+2 to cha)

Unless the tiefer had very few external traces of her infernal heritage... But anywho...human is cool, if you think that would be best...

I wonder if Dave_o is gonna bite? ;)
