I was waiting for that clarification before rolling. Since Thok can see he is now threaten by Latham he gains a +5 to his save, by the description of the spell.

Actually, while normally you are correct, here you are wrong.

Latham is a Master Specialist in Enchantment as has this lovely feature: "Minor Esoteric: Targets on your charm spells do not get a bonus on their saves due to being currently threatened or attacked by you or your allies. In addition, subjects of your compulsion spells do not get a bonus on saves due to being forced to take an action against their natures."

So Thok does not get a +5 bonus. Basically he has to roll a 19-20 to save.

And the spell was Extended Charm Person (Level 2 spell).

Wizards are good enough even when not fully optimized. He and Kye will shine as the group progressess towards CLVL20.
