DnD 3.5 - Valley of the Dead

Fair enough HM, good luck to you too. Do let me know if you'd rather me retire Lora as well (no hard feelings, but if she is breaking or bogging down your game I'd do it)

The others:

Voda is on board and posting.
Malachein is on board and will be posting soon i'm sure.
Dragonwriter? still with us?
Ethandrew is sorely missed and i am loathe to exclude Latham as of yet. He also has valuable information on him. I might have to NPC him if push comes to shove.

We do need a Clerc in the party now that HM is gone, but Malachein tells me he has someone in mind.

Oh, yes, I'm still around.

Sorry for the quiet. Just couldn't really think of a reaction for Herriman. He's got something of a "been there, done that" attitude.

Malachei, could you keep tabs on your stats and buffs? And the remaining uses for Abrupt Jaunt, Metamagic Effect, Cooperative Metamagic etc.

Also there is actually a way to apply Persist to most spells ruled out by that errata we discussed - Ocular Spell from Lords of Madness, it grants a fixed range of 60 ft. to most spells you'd want to persist.

As you can see from my avatar, I love Lords of Madness.

Ocular spell seems interesting.

But it is still debatable whether a ray with a range of 60 ft. qualifies. Given the power of persist, especially as someone who can do that 11+ times per day, I'd rather limit it to what is clearly in RAW, not vice versa (clearly out). Like many rules, persist is poorly worded, as discussed in many forums. For me, it is good enough if it works on all Personal range spells and all spells that work as an emanation with a fixed range. IMO, it is valuable enough as is, and as an Incantatrix, I'd gladly take persist every time, even with these limits and still use most, if not all of my metamagic effect uses on persist. Have I started a persist-cheese-fu discussion? Oh, no...

Of course, I'll update the stat blocks (see the Improved Status spoiler block in my Rogue's Gallery entry). I'll have time later today.

And again: this game is wonderful. The atmosphere, the slowly rising suspense, the advent of doom... I enjoy it tremendously.

I had planned the Jill scene since day 1 almost, too bad the dramatic effect was lost by virtue of "her PCs" being MIA, leaving or not very intelligent or investigative. A little girl wailing with a mad look in her eyes and then suddenly being a-ok is all kinds of strange. At least for me.

Still looking for a divine caster type? I'd be up for a Cleric if still need one. I'll need a little time to get up to speed on the story, but what I've seen so far looks interesting. I also see some familiar faces in the group that I'd love to game with again.
