DnD 3.5 - Valley of the Dead

Maybe some kind of weird arcane focus, or even granted ability, that lets Mei "eat" the magic in charged items to regain expended spell slots. I'd expect a pretty unfavorable "exchange rate" of course, since this could be used to turn 'trash wands' into usable spells. And limited use per day would also be needed, making it a kind of replacement for Pearls of Power or whatever they're called. I just like the idea of 'eating' magic. Nom nom nom.

Otherwise, lets see...perhaps a staff, but I'm not sure that has proper Oriental appeal. What do Eastern sorcerors wield, classically? Hm.

I feel like it should be kind of weird. Like a staff that unravels into a ribbon that can grapple/entangle at a distance...or a headdress that animates as a construct snake or vermin to strike at anyone trying to engage her in melee...or maybe her fan upgrades over time to cast other wind-related spells, like Wind Wall and so on, and loses its 'self destruct' property...

So many options. :)

Hey hey, I'm your DM not Santa Claus :p

No seriously, these are nice suggestions. Eating charged items is a very nice idea! An Artificer can do that and it's a strong ability, but I know how it works and how it's been done in 3.5 so I can see no problem here.

BTW Voda if you have any idea about that sword you are passionate about let me know.

Uh-oh, Shayuri I forgot to reveiw your character (and I need to nitpick the others somewhat but that doesn't need to stall the game)

First, can you please post her in the RG?

Second, would it be too much trouble to ask you to use my template? If not I'd ask you to fill in the missing info for your character, especially which PrC/feat/spell you got from which book. Thank you.

Thok has his special sword and everyone else's PC has yet to get any custom "goodies"

If there was one item your hero could develop a more special relationship with (Thok-Barbarian-big sword of Gruumsh that can't be wielded by non-Orcs without serious setbacks), what would it be? This is more of a theoretical question, I'll still decide on my own :p But I like to keep the whole thing unified.

Oh, and making things up on the fly as far as the Far East is concerned is no problem, it's unlikely you'll ever go there (Even if you get level 7 spells and decide to Teleport there)

That was not an ominous hint by any means :]

Geryk has a mace that is pretty special to him already, so perhaps building on that would be the way to go. He needs a reason to belong and carry on, so perhaps adding more responsibility along with it would be good for him. Did I miss the in character thread? Have we started?

Thank you Shayuri.

We have not started yet, though it will be soon. This weekend at the latest. Keeping myself in shape after work takes up a lot of time. I finish work at 6 pm. and I can get home around 7 pm. due to traffic, and then I have to go to the gym and then come back and shower and have dinner.. .And before you know it, it's already 11 pm.

Plus I've began working on my fantasy novel more seriously now, and I'm doing graphic design things on my pc... :)

And the games.. Oh wow, can they be addicting! DnD 3.5 is also addicting! I would have done most of my updates and reading trough char sheets at work but I'm organizing an event and my work day is a lot less slack-tolerant as of late (though this will change in the future).

OK I can start with no background and we can fix any math oversights along the way, but an appearance will be needed :D

Do you guys want a brief summary of what's happened so far? It's been a long time since we played.

Also, nobody knows anyone else right?
