Do we know anything about feat & power progression?

What we know (from the rogue preview and partial wizard spell list)

Your class will give you:
at will, encounter, and daily attack @ 1st
encounter utility @ 2nd
daily attack @ 9th
daily utility @ 10
encouter attack @ 13
daily attack @ 15
encounter utility @ 16

The wizard doesn't have any 11th, 12th, or 14th level powers listed. It's been theorized that your paragon path is likely to provide powers at those levels. Makes sense, given that you get that path at 11th level.

I recall hearing that you're getting a feat every other level. Can't source that, though.

It would be quite few... only 10 more spells for a top-level Wizard compared to a 1st level?

Don't forget Rituals. We know next to nothing about them at the moment, other than they exist and that they can be collected (in a spellbook?).

I think the obvious two bonuses are:

- New Feats (Every odd level)
- Higher generic level bonus (Every even level)

But that leaves the following possibilities a bit sketchy:

- Additional encounter powers (Every 3 levels starting at level 2)
- Additional daily powers (Every 3 levels starting at level 3)
- Additional at-will power (every 3 levels starting at level 4)
- Ability to substitute new (higher level) powers for existing powers (Every level?)

Yep. Right now we are only seeing the combative type spells. I mean, if a wizard gets 5 encounter spells lets say...in many cases that's one for each round of a fight. He doesn't need a lot of spells to have a lot of combat actions.

But we do a lot of the traditional wizardy stuff will be handled by rituals. Divining, teleporting, etc.

Cool! Where is this list of which you speak? Is it in the PHB Lite 1.2?

It was one of the pages released at D&D XP. There are several versions floating around online--I just googled 'Wizard Spells 4e' for the above post.

Though I haven't read it, I've seen enough folks quote it to realize that the PHB Lite isn't actually a particularly accurate source of information. Mostly, it's just extrapolating from stuff that's already been posted in these forums, and it's not particularly intelligent extrapolation. So if you need the rules and don't have time to crawl through threads, then it's useful, but don't expect it to accurately reflect the final rules in the published PHB.

My personal guess?

Odds: Feat
Evens: +1 to most things

1 - 2 At-Will, 1 Encounter, 1 Daily
2 - Utility
3 - Encounter
4 - Bonus Feat
5 - Daily
6 - Utility
7 - Encounter
8 - Bonus Feat
9 - Daily
10 - Utility
11 - Paragon Path
12 - Bonus Feat
13 - Encounter
14 - Paragon Path
15 - Daily
16 - Utility

Could try to extrapolate past, but at least for the wizard I think that's got a very real chance. I'm assuming all classes get the same progression, but it is possible that there is some variance (to go with the differing hp per level). I hope not, but there you go.

Utilities are encounter or daily, depending how good they are. Your choice which you take (you only see level 10 daily utilities because you only see the end of that list and encounters go first)

Actually, heck... this is way more shot in the dark-ish... only things to go on are getting an epic destiny at 21st, and the paladin smite being 27th in November. Which really might have changed, but...

17 - Paragon Path
18 - Bonus Feat
19 - Encounter
20 - Paragon Path
21 - Epic Destiny
22 - Utility
23 - Daily
24 - Bonus Feat
25 - Epic Destiny
26 - Utility
27 - Encounter
28 - Bonus Feat
29 - Daily
30 - Epic Destiny
