Yes, plus 5E of course.Just to be clear, are 3e/3.5e/PF1e and 4e meant to be considered "WotC D&D" for this poll?

In the OSR or WotC D&D (3-5e) camps yeah I'd put the Borgs as OSR, though they're more "inspired by" than direct rules-adaptations.I’m playing Basic Fantasy now and will probably continue. I’ve played and run OSRIC/AD&D 1e and OD&D as well.
Does Pirate Borg and Mörk Borg count?
I have and will continue to play and run all kinds of things but 5e or things that lean as complex are off the table for a while.
Discord servers tend to be the worst kind of echo chambers (outside of Facebook groups) and are going to be even less generally representative than EN World.I want to add: I belong to a Discord server where I'm tied for "the old guy" status, and everyone is younger to significantly younger, and there's a strong bias against 5e among that segment of younger players.
They're not on ENWorld, but there definitely is a younger player subset who are not at all interested in 5e D&D.
I believe the terms “O5R” and “O5E” were coined to describe those kinds of games. They use 5E as the base but skew more towards old-school play.IMO a more difficult question is where would Shadowdark or Five Torches Deep fall?
As it relates to the poll options, I would vote the first option if inclined to vote at all. I am mostly looking for the OSR/Modern D&D relationship, crude as this poll is. Again, it would be a better survey. Not quite sure what to vote here. I have played a bit of AD&D2e when it was current, but I have played significantly more 3e and 5e. I am no longer playing WotC D&D versions, and I do play OSR games from time to time. Yet they are just part of a larger set of options and I don’t play OSR exclusively.
I like this Discord server thank you very much! It's small, great folks, very talented, great conversation.Discord servers tend to be the worst kind of echo chambers (outside of Facebook groups) and are going to be even less generally representative than EN World.
I'm not actually concerned with playstyle in this thread, just rules systems.I'm not much into the old-school play or the revival movement but to be fair, even when we were playing TSR's AD&D back then, we were not playing it "old-school" either (in other words, we were not playing by the modern definition of old-school)
That doesn't make it not an echo chamber. The membership of Discord servers are focused and self selecting. You can't extract any trends beyond its scope from one.I like this Discord server thank you very much! It's small, great folks, very talented, great conversation.
