First Post
The thread announcing the D&D piece on NPR got me to post this.

Twice now, that I know of, NPR has aired something on D&D.

I listen to it regularly but I somehow missed these D&D pieces. It's usually either politics or entertainment. I generally ignore the entertainment parts, and listen to the politics.

I have become an NPR junkie. I listen to it more than anything else in the car (as long as the kids are not in the car, at which point it becomes Disney and Sesame Street CDs). It drives me crazy when I have to travel and forget to check out the frequency of the NPR station in the area I'm going to and I have to search the dial in the rental car trying to find it.

I listen to NPR as much as I listen to anything. All things considered... ;)

i'm still hacked off at them for letting my host Bob Edwards go...

no wait... i listen to them every morning ... as my alarm clock

every afternoon at lunch.

and every evening on my way home from work.

yeah, i'm a big fan. i've got the coffee mug, sweatshirt, pen, baseball cap, etc... to prove it.

NPR/PRI is my primary news source (and, yes, I too am cheesed off over them let Bob Edwards go, but the reporting quality has not suffered)

Morning Edition
All Things Considered
This American Life
Selected Shorts
Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me!
To The Best Of Our Knowledge

I mean, that's a great line-up :)

Npr

Since 9-11 I make a point to listen to NPR as much as possible, which is evertime I am in the car.

They are my primary news source as well.

The tone of NPR puts me to sleep--something to be avoided while driving. I only listen occaisionally to "know the enemy" (Sun Tzu).

edit -- sorry, I didn't mean to stray into politics. BTW, I didn't hear the D&D story. What did they say?

This is a great show, but I typically miss it.

I listen to NPR in the car, but I tend to switch out to a rock station when they do a lengthy interview with a cajun flutist or whatever.
