Someone today, was asking about if I heard about stuff in the 90's, because they had seen a page dedicated to a club in the 80's and I was the bass player in the "house band" punk, post punk, death rock etc. All leather studs, and liberty spikes. I'm like, that's over ten years later, those pics are from 1985, I don't know what came later. Here Come the Warm Jets, and Baby's On Fire esp were on every mix tape at that time, along with Killing Joke, Specimen, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, it's endless. It is a timeless album, you are right. I saw a picture yesterday of Billy Idol in the Aladdin Sane makeup, and Darby Crash of the Germs said Bowie was a main influence (and Darby on me as a kid). That album, and that song in particular, were maybe 20 years ahead of the curve.
