Just D&D for me. I'd be willing to give other games a chance, definitely, but that'd require me not only learning the rules, but DMing, as well, 'cause I really don't know that many gamers in my area. DMing one system's enough work (fun, but still work,) and if I'm going to play something new I don't want to jump right in at that level.

Did play a game of Alternity at one point - really enjoyed that. Then the DM left.

I play mostly D&D (Kalamar and Greyhawk), but I also play Hackmaster (D&D 4th edition? ;) ) and Vampire. We tried to start a Werewolf game but it was just too easy to power game and I play ST games for the role play aspect.

I'm also waiting for a chance to play Spycraft, Wheel of Time and Slaine. A friend is contemplating starting a Deadlands game and KenzerCo is thinking of putting out a Cattlepunk game which I'd like to try.

I guess I'm in the same boat as some of you. Around here we mainly play D&D because its the one game everyone seems to know and the only one most are willing to play because of its familiarity. And since I just got a new game starting up (this coming saturday should be the first day of gaming, but we will wait and see what happens), we will be playing D&D until this summer when I move away.

That said, there are other games I want to play. Champions would be great, but all my friends look at the character sheet and say no. I guess they are easily intimidated. Shadowrun would be sweet, but they said they would play the world if it was d20 (Go figure, huh). Alternity would be fun since I have most of the books for it, but many think the game mechanic is too confusing. And of the storyteller games, the only ones I have any experience with is Exalted and Werewolf, but they are not d20 so that leaves them out.

Bearing in mind that this is primarily a D&D messageboard, I was curious whether or not most D&D players only play D&D -- and if not, how many of us primarily play D&D.
Do you mean 3E specifically or any edition of D&D/AD&D?

I currently play mostly D20, but I am running an Exalted game right now, playing a Mage game, and looking at other games to try, debating between running an Abberant game or getting Mutants and Masterminds and running that instead... with my own custom gameworld based off of Abberant...

I play D&D and Champions (Hero System) equally. Later this year when the Hero System Grimiore(sp?) comes out, there is a strong possibility that I'll switch over to Fantasy Hero full time(though I'll still be running in the Forgotten Relms).

I play D&D, and I'm an online DM for a d20 WoT game (I was playing in an online Star Wars Revised game, but that seems to have died out). And I own CoC and d20 Modern as well. Anyway, I wonder if there should be a 'I only play d20 games' option; it seems like a lot of people's non-D&D experience is still almost exclusiviely d20 stuff (heck, in my case it's almost exclusively WotC d20 games; I played one session of Mage last year, and an Earthdawn game for a few months the summer before I finished college, but other than that, it's been all WotC d20 games).

Interpret as you wish, I suppose. In my mind, D&D includes OD&D, 1e, 2e and 3e -- and that's what I was thinking of when I posted the poll.

I would play mostly D&D if I could, but at the moment I'm not in a single game. Only active games I'm in right now are one Rolemaster campaign and one Cyberpunk 2020 one that we started up fairly recently. I used to play a lot of Robotech and Alternity, too.. still love the games, but the groups just fell apart when we graduated and several players left town.

I've played many systems. As I was the only GM in our group, we've played pretty much what I wanted. Since 3e's birth, we've played only D&D, though. Suited our group pretty well.
