90% of the time, yes. If it comes to rules-questions, sometimes the DM may or may not have a solid grasp, but I give 'em the benefit of the doubt.

Example:

Last game - we kept getting attacked by SOMETHING that kept draining our strength.

I send Earth elementals underground - nope.
Our sorcerer scans the area with true seeing - nope.
Our Barbarian starts flailing about with a Ghost Touch weapon!!!! - Nope.

What the heck IS it?

I'm not calling BS on the DM (that's a mouthful!) -- instead, I'm taking it in stride. I'm sure there was a reason other than GM fiat. In the end, we got the bastards (we assume) with a Vortex of Teeth in the area (since Force damage hurt incorporeal creatures). But we didn't say, "THAT shouldn't happen!" Instead, we're trying to figure out what's special about these thingies.

Exactly! This is what keeps the game fresh and interesting even with our old-time gamers who've already read every book and adventure in existence. It helps me keep the excitement and sense of some new danger around every corner that I had when I started.

When it comes to being fair and adhere to the rules, my players will trust me.

At all other times they do not.
And that's just how I like it!

With my banking information? Heck no.

With anything related to my PC? Of course. By the rules, and without any fudging, at any time, he can kill my PC. So what's the point of not trusting him? Wether or not he hates me will be clear soon enough.

Yes, mostly. He's not really clear on the rules, but I'm the "main" DM for the group and I understand that if I don't give him my trust when I'm a player then I don't deserve it when I'm DMing.

Yep, I am the DM

I trust myself :D

Taken a poll from the players...its Yes, Mostly, and only that because although they expect me to be completely honest and not fudge, they also expect me to get them royally screwed hehe :uhoh:

Yes, completely. Otherwise, why am I wasting my time playing a game where I have to worry about trusting the GM? I simply don't play if I don't think I can trust the DM.

I trust my DM completely to set up a fair campaign that is designed to be fun.

Sometimes his idea of fun is darker than mine. Sometimes his idea of fairness is a bit less lenient than mine. But, I know where the differences are, and I accept them. Nothing will come out of left field anymore. My cavalier attitude might not always work in his games, but I know that's the case, and I play knowing that I'm not playing optimally. And, its still fun.

If something weird/odd/”not right” happens in the game, do you trust that there is a legitimate/legal/honest in-game reason for it?

Or if something weird happens in the game, do you assume the DM fudged?

Quasqueton

I trust my Gm until he gives me reason not to.
