Do you use the XPH, and to what degree?

Are you using psionics in 3.5?

I think psionics and psionic-like abilities would work well in a modern setting. I keep thinking of the movie, "Scanners" when I think of psionics where certain people could manipulate things with their minds, or have a battle of will to dominate each other.

In the Campaign where I am a player ( FR- EVERYTHING goes there, right? ), my DM has allowed me to use the XPH for my Monk/PsiWar. I'm glad Psionic Combat Has been nixed - in a year+, the DM has not used the previous/new book for any NPC's or Psionic Monsters, (or anything!). We have finally run across an mind flayer though. It will be interesting to see if he uses any powers from the XPH for it, or just runs it as written in the Monster Manual.

In my Campaign ( Scarred Lands ) I am not usuing Psionics, and none of my players have asked for it. Psionics will play a role in my next (Homebrew ) Campaign though, as one of the availaible races will have Psion as a favored class & psionics will be a staple of their culture - Will be VERY rare in other PC races.

Don't have it yet, don't use it yet. But I will on both counts. I'll get it when I'm ready to use it. I used the original PsiH quite a bit, and I'm sure at some point I will do the same with XPH.

I just purchased the XPH and am planning to use it in conjuction with one or more one-shot adventures. For starters, I'm going to be running the Dark Sun adventure from last month's Dungeon. Then depending on how well that goes, we may try another adventure or two using that setting, but it won't be anything long duration like a real campaign. If Dungeon publishes more Dark Sun adventures, I'll likely consider running those in the same way.

Depending on how psionics works out, I will consider it for any future campaigns, but I will not modify either of my 2 existing campaigns to add them in at this time. Hence, the one-shot, non-campaign style adventures are my best bet for trying this out.

I've flipped through the new version of Psionics.

I still don't care for it in my standard fantasy games.

Maybe for a science fantasy game, but not for medieval fantasy -- just has the wrong flavour.

Then again, I'm consistent -- I haven't liked psionics all the way back to Eldritch Wizardry. ;)

Yup, Psionics here!

Ayup,

Psionics have long been a part of my game. I've only had one player play a Psychic Warrior and he thought he was pretty bad. He was bad, his greed got the better of him and he died. I've enjoyed playing lots of psionic bad guys and it freaks the players out when I use a new power on them.

Original 3.0 or new I've used em both and like em lots.

Wow, a majority of people who bought the book are incorporating the XPH into their campaigns. We have been happy with results so in our home campaign. :)
