Does anyone here have the Radeon 9700 Pro card?

I've heard great things about this card's performance, but I've also heard that it has compatibility problems with some games.

Does anyone here use the 9700 Pro? How would you rate it overall?

I agree with gariig. The 9500, 9700, and their 'Pro' counterparts are all excellent performers. For once, I'm seriously considering an ATI card over nVidia's offerings.

Get the Radeon 9700 -non pro-. Best bang for the buck today.

Sure, if you have money, you cannot beat a 9700 Pro. They are amazing.

I will answer you in 2005... With a two years shift, you allways have the best games,and best hardware, for only 1/5 of the price...

Now, I haven't heard of any problem with the lattest ATI drivers, they have made a lot of progress in this area.

Im using a radeon 9700 pro. It rocks on every game Ive played and Ive not seen one game that I cant play with the latest catalyst drivers for the radeon series. I strongly encourage you to get it. Been playing UT 2003 in 1280x962 and getting over 60fps.

Reviews say that it is roughly as good as the GeForce FX, NVIDAs NEXT generation. Oh, and unlike the FX, it doesnt have a fan that takes up a PCI slot and makes a lot of noise (and also renders it incompatible with certain motherboards where there is not a PCI slot next to the AGP on the appropriate side)

That's not true. The Radeon9700 Pro card has proven to be better than Geforce FX in most cases.

I will get a chance to review it (GFFX) soon though. That will be pretty interesting.
