Does Anyone here watch Alias?

I heard a rumor somewhere that since Jennifer Garner and Michael Vartan are no longer dating in real life, she has him written out of the show. I don't know if this is true or not.

Big spoilers of the season opener and previous seasons' events will follow:

I want to know what the Rimbaldi artifact was that Sloane used to buy his way back into the CIA. It's got to be something exceptionally cool if they're willing to trust him even a little once more.

SPOILERS:

I think it might be the vessel that held Rambaldi's essence. That was explained in the last two or three episodes of season 3. I can picture them rolling that crate in the warehouse with the Ark of the Covenant and other goodies (Raiders of the Lost Ark).

I haven't seen the season opener yet but I really do like the show for the most part. There are good parts and some not so good parts. I think there are times when I wonder what the writers are thinking. Overall, I am really pleased with it.

I have now seen the first four hours of the 4th season.

It's... a bit dull, really. Just too episodic. They're getting away from last year's
melodrama, which I like, but so far they've been very light on overarching plots.

I like the plots. Silly plots with conspiracies upon conspiracies and Rambaldi
prophecies. That's Alias! Now, I expect they're just setting up the new dynamic
at the moment and then they'll get back to business, but I can't shake the
thought that maybe they won't and we'll just get a whole season of this.

Argh! Think positive thoughts. Think positive thoughts! POSITIVE THOUGHTS!

I was not impressed for some reason with the first couple episodes this season, and have given up on the show. I don't hate it, but it does not impress me the way it used to.

Part of that may my willing suspension of disbelief only going so far. I liked the twists and turns for a few seasons, but now this group of characters all working for a special black ops division just strikes me as too contrived.

Since it is a little more episodic now, maybe I will catch a few later this season to see if my opinion changes.

This show is so hugely silly its fun. Believability is just chucked so far out the window by the producers that it circles the globe and hits the producers in the back of the head. Of course I have only seen the third season...

The one thing I can never get over is the fact they are in LA and they are always going to Europe or someplace on some op. Hey guys, unless you are going to SE Asia, Australia, or some other asian locations, it might be best to relocate to the east coast...

Where? The old SD-6 building fronting a financial firm? Oh, yeah, that would tickle Sloan's fancy, as well as Sydney's, Jack's, Marcus Dixon's, and Marshall's.

Besides, does it truly matter where the black ops team, APO, is located?

Only came in on the third season. I have no clue what has happened before.

A.

EDIT: Turns out this is the fourth season... So there are three other seasons I have missed. Hrmm- Battlestar Galactica is looking good...
