D&D General Does anyone recall coming across any magic weapons that return when thrown...other than Dwarven Thrower, Hammer of Thunderbolts or magic boomerangs?

Returning magic Chakram Witch’s Circle – 5th Edition SRD

This Article from Nerdist and Matt Mercer mentions the Krull Glaive as a Dancing Weapon:
Nerdist said:
Another iconic 80’s hack and slash film, Krull also stands out for its weapon. This multi bladed throwing disk is just so badass you can’t help but want one for your next dungeon crawl. Also, the bad guys are aliens with laser lances. Sign me up! In the movie, the hero (Colwyn) can throw the Glaive and control where it goes. There are a lot of possible mechanics here and Mercer and I debated the pros and cons for each for a long time. In the end we decided to treat the Glaive like a dancing weapon, attacking each turn on its own as a bonus action then returning to the wielder’s hand. We also had to import the rules for Chakrams into 5e, which will be nice for anyone who wants to play Xena. On balance, the build we created is probably a little less powerful than what you see in the movie, but then again it doesn’t take your standard action, so what are you complaining about?

So the Thri-keen use a Chatkcha that returns back to their hand without being magical.

The Chakram mentioned above by @Tonguez is also a sacred weapon of Shar from the forgotten Realms as it strongly resembles her holy symbol. Also returns without being magical. Sometimes called an infinity razor.

I homebrewed a magic trident called Ripple (a rip-off of the ultra-powered Wave). When you threw it, you could target a number of creatures equal to the number of attacks you could make. It would then fly to each, bouncing off the targets, returning to the thrower's hand. I did it as a way to make throwing it more palatable for the fighter it was intended for. It was still better to use it in melee, because of focused fire, but it had a few awesome moments against mooks.

The 2024 UA that presented the Artificer included a quality that any Artificer can add to the weapons created. I am 99% confident this will see light in the Eberon book coming in December.

RETURNING WEAPON
Weapon (Any Simple or Martial with the Thrown Property), Uncommon

This magic weapon grants a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it, and it returns to your hand immediately after it is used to make a ranged attack roll.
